Bought for blue glowing driller, turns out it's not as blue as I thought, nor does the helmet I wanted to glow, glow.

Some of the frameworks are pretty cool though.

Not bad, but hm.
Would rate "Mixed" but that's not an option.

There's a lot to like, and I'll leave it to the rest of the reviews to go over that.

I just really despise the inventory, and the lack of anything that even resembles sorting.

Good game though.

A shining example of good Game Development!

Unrivaled teamwork encouragement - Even friendly fire is usually met with laughs, and immediatly getting back to the mission.

Free cosmetics in abundance - You will never once feel like you need to buy a dlc to look cool. Simply play for a couple hours, and you will look damn slick. I play this a rock-, and a stone ton, and I never run out of cool things to unlock.

Fantastic Balancing - Clearly a lot of math, formulas and complex discussion, is involved here. The devs clearly care about making a fun system that rewards you for understanding your chosen upgrades, but also dumb fun to work more often than not.

Highly optimized - If you have friends that are stuck playing old games, tell them about this game! Most computers can run it well at low settings, and the Dev-encouraged modding community is also dedicated to making even lower, but still charming graphics.

Snappy and fair This game rarely feels like it cheated you out of something. Decided not to react to a button press. It feels great to control.

There's more, but I'll stop here. Stop reading and fly to the mines, dwarven brethren! ROCK AND STONE!

Early Access Review
Dwindling community in a multiplayer exclusive: Play with friends, you'll have a good time.

Unrivaled VR Mechanics, but weird priorities.

This game rarely has anymore than 15 players, despite its insane online presence.
Starting off with a 1v1 arena mode for the first years of development was basicly suicide, but by sheer luck and quality of the main gimmick, they are scraping by.

They could easily boost player numbers exponentially, by starting off development with singeplayer modes. A game dependent on others to play, will only grow if people take the chance to buy a game that noone is playing yet.

Make content that does not rely on the dwindling playerbase. It's a brainless gamble not to.

This game hates success, and is doing absolutely everything it can to not succeed. I almost worry the Dev team is being sabotaged.

I understand that this is Early Access, and that the team had no other option; But holy moly, it is a puzzle to understand why anything was done the way it was. Everything is a confusing crappy mess that looks neat at first glance, but really just isn't.

Do not buy this game alone. You will likely need friends to get anywhere.

And as for the character update, my progress refuses to save.
As cool as the cosmetics are, everything around is bafflingly ♥♥♥♥.

If you like Boneworks, or are desperate for something new, go for it!
If not, just know that this game is not as perfect as the hype and ads suggest.

+ AVATAR SWITCHING: Creative, fun to use. Very unbalanced though.
+ MUSIC: Absolutely amazing.
+ SHOOTING: Not a fan myself, but undeniably pretty good.

- LEVEL DESIGN: Boring, giant, empty.
Occasionally detailed.
- MELEE: Inconsistent, unresponsive, weak.
Fun to fling people around, but hitting sucks.
- CONTROLS: Lacks options.
Crouching irl will not crouch you in the game. There are no settings for this.
The go kart: Right thumbstick turns and drives forward/back. The steering wheel turns too. You must either 1) Hold your joystick perfectly upwards, and steer with your wheel, 2) Hold your controller (wheel) perfectly still and steer with your joystick, or 3) Use both at the same time.
- INVENTORY: Unreliable, interfering, inconsistent.
Hitboxes are way too big, and are aligned to your avatar, which rotates unpredictably. There should be an option to align them to your headset, so you always know where they are, without looking.
- PUZZLES: Over-reliant, broken, potential.
They rely on physics that often break. Things get stuck, or refuse to rotate. Even when it works, heavy objects can still be annoying.
- PHYSICS: Inconsistent, fun and annoying.
You can still get stuck in doors, and get flung off a cliff because you accidentally clicked grip a meter away from a fence.
They patched B-hopping, but you can still combo with a real life jump to go higher.

Absolute eye (and ear) candy
Love the weighty feel, defying gravity feels super satisfying

One minor annoyance is it won't allow mouse inputs, so I had to make my mouse pretend it was a keyboard.

Fun shooty shoot in tact to music.

You can beat the entire OST in a couple hours, but custom level support is apparently a thing now
