UPDATE
The Discord is open again, the original announcement I have written below was deleted, there is no longer a plan to make the game paid on Steam, and things seem to be moving forward again. However, there is nothing from Dr. Ghost, who made the announcement, rescinding anything they said. I think it's important to recognize the devs DID backpedal after significant backlash, but I don't think that earns total forgiveness or forgetfulness of what they said and planned to do. For that reason, the entire original review is below, complete with the August 24th announcement from Dr. Ghost.

"Dear Community,

It's disheartening to even call this a community, but nonetheless, thank you for the unwarranted backlash. We're proud of the show we put on to entertain you. For a long time, many of you, especially former team members, enjoyed the work of Xandromeda. However, he was found guilty of suspicious activities that, if unchecked, would have destroyed both his and our reputations. Those supporting him may not know the full story.

We are aware of the snakes within this server--no names need to be mentioned. But know that their protests, misinformation, and targeting of SCP-Yeet are attempts to undermine us.

Why?

Because Yeet was the one who successfully removed and stopped them, which naturally earned him enemies. But to be clear, we don't care. We planned to separate the development from this server to protect our team. We can't allow harm to come to them. XtrithX, our favorite, left because of the community's behavior. Dr Ghost (me), SCP-Yeet, and XtrithX made the decision to make CBM a paid game after consulting with others. Remember, Yeet now owns and runs this game, paying for it every month, only to face disrespect.

One more amusing note--it's ironic to see those who once swore to destroy the Coalition return to this server. It's like vultures circling a corpse, but in this case, it's not a corpse--it's a sleeping being that will eventually wake. Stay tuned for more entertainment!"
