I genuinely expected this to be weirder and more unsettling... but the horror never really sets in. I feel like they could have done more with this concept.

It needs optimization work, but this is otherwise a fantastic new entry in the franchise. Many weapons have never felt better, the base game offering of monsters is nicely varied, and there's tons to do as usual. I can't wait for more title updates and Master Rank.

Very glad to see Sony and Arrowhead take the outpouring of negative feedback to heart and change course. They made a pretty big mistake, but apologized properly and made the necessary change. Happy to change my review back to positive.

This is the best coop shooter since Left 4 Dead. Very strong recommend.

This is more Trails. At this point you know if that's a good thing to you or not. It's still being ported by Durante. Runs great on Deck and PC.

I wasn't going to review this, but I'm surprised at just how many negative reviews this game has. I never played the previous versions, so I went in with zero nostalgia, but this is an excellent SRPG. It's long, a little unforgiving, and a ton of its systems are not very well explained... but that doesn't hold it back from being a deep and immersive tactics game with a huge amount of replayability. It also runs perfectly on a Steam Deck (I played this almost exclusively on the Deck). I'm seeing a lot of people complaining about controls, but I'm not sure where that's coming from. They're pretty intuitive, and fairly standard for tactics games like this. Works fine on keyboard and mouse, but I do prefer a controller.

A short, but sweet metroidvania. It brought some cool ideas to the table, didn't overstay its welcome, and looked great doing it.

I wanted to like this more than I did. It's like Assassin's Creed if they actually tried to innovate. Enemies are unique and interesting, the world is beautiful, and the plot is interesting. I just... didn't enjoy fighting the enemies, the world is filled with Assassin's Creed style busywork, and I found Aloy to be pretty unlikable.

Marking this as a do not recommend, but in reality, my opinion is pretty mixed on it.

9/10. Just a dang good video game.

Well, I'm glad to see this is back on Steam, but this sure didn't go well for me. Finished the campaign on veteran... and by far the hardest part was not dropping the game because of how terrible the game launch experience and stability was.

Here's my experience in a nutshell:
1. Start game.
2. Game launches and takes forever to check for an update.
3. It finds an update every single time and makes me restart.
4. Game starts again and takes 5 minutes to optimize shaders.
4.5. maybe another restart here just for fun.
5. Shaders finally optimize and I can resume my game.
6. CRASH TO DESKTOP

At this point I get to start troubleshooting. The kicker is that every single time I make a change and need to test it, I get to go through that game launch experience all over again... which makes troubleshooting take forever.

Do yourself a favor and wait for a discount, you'll get to avoid the ridiculous $70 price tag for an unstable product, and Activision and Nvidia might get the game fixed by then. So far the multiplayer seems more stable, but we'll see.
