REPOST because I accidentally deleted this review

this was written in 2018

In 2014 me and my friends were watching the E3 trailer for this in art on my phone, several times... We fantasized about how long it would be before we could have space battles and where pre naming some species that were yet to be discovered by us (mostly ♥♥♥♥ related) We vastly underestimated the size of the universe in that moment as we discussed how we would all meet up together, the hype was like nothing I have ever seen for any game, not just me and my friends. The world.

Then it released.

Denial set in quickly I enjoyed it and the memes suck as 'top gek' and times where good but the game died quickly as our ever so infamous friend Sean Murray made the innocent but near fatel mistake that was, as the lead developer, get on a hype train that was heading straight off the cliff. And instead of slowing it down before it hurtled towards what I think was the most release of a game this century and possibly ever. He threw every bit of coal he had in that train and payed the price. (I say that I bet he still made a fat wedge from it.)

2 years later and it's July 2018

You ever watched back to the future with the flying train that can time travel? Well some how Sean 'doc' Murray managed to emerge from behind that cliff, on board is the survivors like me of the original wreckage. And like other survivors I have spent the last few days desperately trying to reinject hype to my friend group, get any kind of snowball begging them to try because I knew what had happened.

The had only gone and ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ done it.

They had managed to pull off their original vision not only that, but they had even more than we could ever have dreamed of (see patch notes).

And as of yesterday 4 years after that art lesson

We have a planet, I have a base, my friend has decided to take up the role as David Attenborough and document all the animals he can find naming them even more inappropriatly than I thought his imagination could perceive. I was being chased by pirates and in a flash my boys pulsed in and opened fire letting me escape with my loot. I can't describe that sight of being set on a planet and looking to the sky and seeing a player icon on another planet. Then 5 mins later they are having a look round your base or in envy of your hover craft.

No mans lie is no more
