I can't help but notice how strange the Japanese is. It's as if the person voice acting is a foreigner or someone who doesn't know Japanese.

Firstly, a highschool girl is somehow speaking politely to Mark. (When usually, it's casual) Heck, she strangely switches from casual to polite sometimes... A very odd way of speaking but kinda acceptable when she's trying to show dominance by being casual. Then again, Japanese has imperative form (rude Japanese) and she doesn't really use it.

Secondly, her enunciation of certain words and phrases is definitely not on a native level. You can only hear the difference if you ask a native to repeat those lines she said. The 'Japanese rhythm' is not coming out of her mouth.

Lastly, the grammar and sentence structures of some dialogues feels off. I've listened and practiced speaking a fair amount of certain expressions and hearing how she speaks is completely different from what I heard from native speakers. I can't explain this in my criticism but after showing this to some Japanese friends, they agree it does sounds a little weird. The grammar consistency is weird as well. One moment she has perfect Japanese and the next sentence, she butchers it. It's really distracting for me especially when I try not to rely on subtitles in games that already have Japanese dubbing.

It could be a budget thing or that they couldn't find a Japanese person to voice act the script due to communication problems. But if that's the case...
Why not just make her speak in English? She'd sound way more frightening. Her whisperings in Japanese also doesn't really make me scared. I'm just confused most of the time as to why she has the need to whisper. To establish creepiness? Again, if she can speak normally in English, I can likely be more scared of her than trying to increase the volume to understand what the heck is she saying. It kinda throws me off the immersion of the game.

(The guy's Japanese voice-acting seems fine. It recognize that voice from Sora the Troll and he's an actual Japanese voice actor.)

*This is just my criticism of one aspect of the game and it's just my opinion. It doesn't need to be changed as it doesn't break the game experience. But it could improve the quality of the game.

I think this visual novel has potential to be better. Seeing it is made from Visual Novel Maker, many more scenes and dialogues could easily be added to make the story pacing slower. Currently, pacing is too fast. There is no realism in it. Some girls are just immediately too ♥♥♥♥♥ upon the first meeting and that just kills the entire mood of the Visual Novel. I would prefer proper character development but eh, if you just want a short round of good, ♥♥♥♥♥♥ scenes, then it's fine. Took me 1h to finish everything so I don't have nothing else to say other than expanding on character development and adjusting the pacing to be a little more slower (So I can enjoy it more.)

Was it worth my money...? I guess? I kinda expected a more professional quality of storytelling for something that is $5. The art is certainly amazing and well done but the pacing is just a let down compared to other visual novels.

The story is amazing! The art is simply breath-taking. I get into the characters already when it just started. The romance is just so nerve-racking! Recommended for romance seekers!

Stealthing as Spy is so much easier than other games!
