Terrible UI and explanation about game logistics (army, resources, etc) make me to not recommend the game. You get frustrated often and I'm not sure how long it will take for me to really figure it out (after 10h game). I thought it could be me, because I really tried to understand more, but check the community, you will see that it is not just me.

The rest of the game, combat, graphics, units, the map core loop idea = they are all nice. But the lack of information to keep all these stuff connected, will frustrate you more than you imagine.

I was enjoying the game until the "age" changes and reset stuff LOL - WTF
So, yeah, I could ignore the UI, I could ignore the missing info during the game (yeah, the missing stats on terrain type, etc)... but I can't ignore this "age" reset thing. I really wonder who came up with this idea inside the dev team... who... the hell... never played Civ games? Many things players are saying it is missing or just boring, I found it interesting (if you want another Civ 5 or Civ 6 clone, just go play those games) - but the reset and some of the changes regarding the age change is too much for me to ignore. That's my personal opinion, I can understand why they went to that route, but for a Civ game, I think that was a wrong direction.

More of the same, in a good way :)
I agree coop is better, but you will not lose any fun going solo either.
Some parts if can be a bit frustrating, but once you get good (I'm playing with a mouse), you feel like you won :)

All the negative reviews are real and on point.
Big stalker fan here (top 10 games for me).
Playing during night and lunch time, but 2/3 of my playtime is just waiting for loading, one way or another - really, trust me!

I don't mind having poor a-life now, they can improve it. I can "wait" a bit more for loading shaders, yeah, it sucks, but I could wait... the economy is really &¨%%& up ... but my biggest issue is the constant in game loading of stuff that even bothers you pressing input keys sometimes. Yes, you have DELAY on input keys because the animation and graphics of something you were using was still not loaded (or it STARTS TO LOAD AGAIN if you reach a big point of interest that also requires more loading). Very annoying! I've died many times because of this (you are in a gun fight, needs to heal quickly... NOPE, graphics for the bandage or medkit are still loading somehow and you can't use it).

I will review again after they fix this.

One of the best FPS War Sim out there. Yes, it does have flaws and issues. Yes, AI sometimes fails. But it does make you tense, with your eyes open and paying attention to everything that is going on. I bought it thinking it would be just one more shooter with better SFX and poor AI ... well, AI is kinda poor, but fun enough to bring danger for you and your squads. I think it could be a bit cheaper, compared to other titles, but I don't regret buying it.
Recommended for hardcore FPS players.

One of the best RTS games and city building out there. I find it more to do and to enjoy here with other games, like Manor Lords (which is also a good game). The feeling of always something to do or improve on your city, and defend, really plays different here.

Honest note here to devs :) - and suggestions.

TLDR - I am enjoying much more the game after last months of updates, but I would love to see more stuff that makes me care more about the village/city/tower to keep coming back or keep playing what I've built.

========================
I was not really enjoying the first versions. The "big combat" feature alone was not really something that could bring me back to the game. And that was true for a long time. What I missed (and I still miss) is the variation in the buildings or something in that sort... to make me care enough for the village, for the soldiers, etc... just spam soldiers and units is not really enough for me.
But after playing a lot more in the last week, giving more chances, trying to actually build something to care (even a good strategy, etc), my feeling got better with the game. The last updates were great, the attacks and the freedom that I can change my difficulty level are also great.

But I do think it still lacks a real reason to make me care enough - I can get the feeling I am trying to explain from a few games like Kingdoms and Castles, Farthest Frontier, They Are Billions and some others. And maybe this is not just the game for me, I know those games are different, but the lack of that feeling still exists here for me. So, a few suggestions to maybe make more interesting:

- Add maybe minor goals or events in each free map or endless maps;
- Add auto variations for the houses and other buildings: the terrain and vegetation are empty enough, but as soon as I build more stuff, it becomes even more bland;
- Add more stuff for the villagers, like decorations that matters to keep them in the village (not just simple decorations), or they might leave, or even stuff to make the battles more intense and make civilians react when a battle is won (I can't find this in any game) - just make the village more alive.

This is my opinion and I do understand that the game sold well and players like it, so maybe I'm just the one who wanted to see a bit more of it. Don't take this as a negative review, it is a good review, with some notes that I could see it becoming even better

I was enjoying a lot the updates (I just played when it launched, and now I got back to it).

BUT - in sandbox mode, I got stuck twice, same reason: I could not sleep because the game said I was in a quest, when I wasn't... so, I lost progress twice (and it was really bad, since I've done a lot that day).
One happened also when I got ambushed... but there was not a single enemy there, then the icon stayed forever on the map.

EDIT:
I know how to reproduce now: some quests (I think for me it was only the drug ones, that you need to help with drug delivery) if you open and do not accept, they might lock you up in that game state. So, try to reproduce that.

Good little game. Very indie. I did not find any real bugs. It has its challenges. Very short. For the price, buy if you want games like old resident evil.
