Great game

9.9999/10 this is one of the few games that somehow gets 'procedurally generated' content done in a way that's enjoyable and not repetitive. Don't get me wrong you'll be fighting the same 'general' enemies in every mission but the fact that there are 8-9 types of missions, a dozen or so random events with possible bosses, the multiple biomes with their own hazards, modifiers that enhance your dwarf or increase difficulty of that mission, every single cave system is different and the procedural algorithm that makes these caves is surprising at how it makes every experience unique... it makes a 'repetitive' game-play loop fresh every time you go down for a new mission.

Biggest disappointment is honestly how when you're alone with Bosco on solo missions you can't do kinky stuff with him. Please let us sex Bosco GSG... then you can get 10/10

Started playing cause of the hype and was hoping to find a better MMO than WoW retail/classic or New World

Stayed because I've developed an unhealthy addiction with how fun progression and endgame is.

11/10 would sign divorce papers again so that I can have more time for Lost Ark gains

If you're looking for a more tactical shooter with a non-steep learning curve this games a solid buy. Time to kill is very low and realistic and many game modes are 1 life per round so you really do need to play carefully and tactically or you're just dead spectating teammates the whole game. Plenty of maps, night mode too if you like that with NVGs and such. Overall good tactical shooter, okay graphics (UE4). Certainly not the best tactical shooter out there, but for it's price tag it's defintely worth.

This game was bad a week ago. It's not longer bad imo. The hit registration and major bugs seem to be mostly fixed since launch as of 12/6/21. There are still a few little bugs you'll run into, but at least they're not entirely gamebreaking any longer.

1. Negative hype: I don't get why everyone is hating 2042 anymore. Honestly thought the core game was good from the get-go, just needed some clean-up.. Like all AAA titles nowdays (Cyberpunk 2077, Skyrim, BF4, FF14). The fact that they had this quick of turnover actually suprised me

2. PORTAL!!! I can't believe people aren't commending DICE for Portal more! Honestly it's awesome! Certainly can be more features added to Portal in the future to make even more sand-box gamemodes and fun but seriously! With a gaming trend of rereleasing old classics and remastering them, I can't believe no one is talking about how great this is! First off, it's included in 2042 so you don't have to pay $30 or something for a 'REMASTER' or something. Not only that you get 1942, BF3, Bad Company 2 all in the same box that the new Battlefield comes in... I mean that's pretty good value especially when we have remasters from other AAA developers that are complete ♥♥♥♥ (Grand Theft Auto: Definitive Edition anybody???) and are sold separately. Only thing that's been nearly as good/better in my opinion is the Master Chief Collection for Halo.

3. Gameplay: It's the typical battlefield formula... stripped back a little due to Operators. I agree with the rest of the community that it takes away the class identity of Medic/Recon/Engineer/Assault more, but you can still play to those architypes depending on gadget/weapon.. and some operators fall into those classes more ie: Angel is more of a support/medic, as well as the old lady (forget her name). But the game definetely goes back to the modern combat meets sandbox fun of BF3/BF4 era. Even the operators play into this, it's fun as hell 'sugar-gliding' as Sundance into a backline with an SMG and going absolutely nuts. Or strapping C4 to a Recon jeep and doing the classic yeet into a tank. Yes the game was buggy, but after cleaning up the major flaws I can't wait to see more content etc. for this game cause I honestly think it's the best BF since BF4 (idk I didn't like BF1/BF5 much.. missed the sandboxy gameplay I love from the older BF games)
