Went into this game blind and was pleasantly surprised with how much content the game had. I enjoyed the beginning and Kaycee's Mod the most but enjoyed the game throughout. One of the few games that had me actively achievement hunt after beating it. This is definitely worth the price if you like card games and Yu-Gi-Oh/Magic the Gathering which this game takes a lot of inspiration from. There are also plenty of secrets and lore to find if you're into that.

Possibly spoilers below.

Loved how this game changed as you progressed! Although Act 1 was my favorite, I kept playing to see how much more the game would change and was not disappointed.

This game is truly amazing. It does a great job at immersing you in the role of the survivor and throws many dangers your way. I would highly suggest not reading any guides or walkthroughs because it is an experience to go into this game blind and figure things out yourself. Once I beat it, I immediately went in for another playthrough just for the survival elements alone. The only thing I would say is that there are some optimization issues which seem to get worse the longer your save goes. All in all though, this game is easily worth $60 so for the current price it almost feels like a steal.

This is an amazing game. You have so much freedom to do random acts of shenanigans.

Need money? Distract that blacksmith with a trade and then proceed to pickpocket with your thief. Demanding elf annoying you? Stab her in the back when you're helping her on a mission. Tough troll in your way? Drop a bunch of oil barrels around him, light a path of oil to them and watch him explode in a fiery explosion. You can pull chairs out from people sitting on them!! Become a chair pulling psycho.

This is the first game that I've felt the freedom to just be a goof or roleplay into a certain role. It's pretty much a D&D like game. There is even a mode where you can create maps and campaigns to guide a set of real life players through as a Gamemaster with die rolls and all the crazy loot you'd like to give.

Give it a try. Find out how far your creativity will bring you.

I think this game is pretty good for what it is trying to do. It does seem empty or bland at times but I don't think it is anything too serious. I am level 7 and have unlocked just the medical wing so far.

PROS:

- Great atmosphere (feels immersive)
- Side quests are short and rewarding while adding nice background to the story
- Combat is decent
- RPG elements done well
- Loot is done well so far. Have yet to experience end game drops.
- AI is done well. They usually try to flank you whenever they can.

CONS:

- A lot of running back and forth. There is fast travel to certain locations but sometimes I feel like I should have a bike or something.
- Kind of barren. You sometimes encounter enemies on the way to missions but I was hoping for the city to be more dangerous in the streets. This may change later or other parts of the city may be more dangerous.
- Character creator is very disappointing. You're basically slightly editing presets and I think all of the options suck.
- Certain items you equip don't show on your character. I equipped a surgical mask but was disappointed when nothing popped up on my face.
- AI is very aggressive. Instead of staying in cover, enemies are more likely to sprint up to you even if you are spamming a shotgun at them. Kind of annoying when a lot of the enemies are bullet sponges and you can die in just a few hits.
- Doesn't give you full options to map your keys. In the middle of combat I keep pressing B instead of V on accident when I try to heal and get stuck in the menus.
- The cover system is wonky at times.

Overall I think this game is good. I see it as a chill, rpg shooter that I can wind down to with friends after work. Basically a more serious version of Borderlands. I think most of the issues can be fixed and corrected with future patches. This is most likely a game you should wait to go on sale before buying.

These developers are liars! They just slapped "release" onto an alpha game without a ton of features that were promised. I feel cheated and will steer clear of these developers in any game they try to put out.

Amazing game. Can't stop playing. Dark Souls 2 is a great sequel to Ds1 and it looks beautiful. 10/10 would buy again

Love it. It's not exactly that hard once you get the hang of the mechanics. It's just punishing if you screw up. I love being scared to walk down a corridor and have to end up baiting my enemies. I love that I'm scared to die in this game because dying in Dark Souls actually gives you a major punishment.
