Unity - that is what Helldivers 2 brings to the gaming community. For a brief time, all our differences and disagreements with each other are canned while we focus on the AI bots and Tyranid wanna-be's.

It's interesting as it's a general theory about humanity itself and the state of the world. We 'need' something to unite us all for a cause in the world instead of going at our neighbors throats.. Aliens is tops on my list for Unity theme.. Also is in the gaming community right now!

Do your part, Citizens!

Incredibly fun game for Warship fiends and fanatics. Accurately detailed ships, some of the best 'water' visual and physical effects (to the ships) from any game I can recall ever playing.

Free! If you really get into playing you will spend some light change here and there. It's not a ptw game however some of the better ships are ones that can be 'bought'. (Better doesn't mean much - how you naviagate and shoot is what matters most).

Worth picking up and banging on - pick your favorite nation(s) and float some boats!

There's a great deal to already like about Scrap Mechanic, with more on the horizon as development continues.

Scrap Mechanic has the feel of 'Raft' (comforting easy graphics - you don't need a 6 month or younger PC to run it) combined with the block accessorizing of Minecraft (and then some), with a sprinkling of Engineering know-how being handy, and a small helping of Farmville (the engaging side of it). One of the most entertaining 'building' games I've played in quite a while. There is a great community, with a number of Video posters providing content (and great ideas!) along with a very active community workshop in Steam for any sort of creation you can dream up.

Likes / Pros
The capability to create/build functional suspension and gearing on vehicles (not needed but awesome!)
Recordable physical actions (creations can change shape, come to life, open/close, raise/lower, drive/fly/float/dive, etc)
Multi-Player friendly - get your best pals together for a session!
Survival/Creative Mode are a blast - I do think Challenge needs revamping - take some ideas from all the content creators!
Good sized world to explore - items created are static, world items taken will respawn after a game day it seems and 'dropped' items despawn after time, allowing for clutter-free world.

Wishes
Static server capability (User created and maintained, but static for better multi-player involvement)
Better water physics - At least some resistance so paddle boats and the like would work. Something tells me 'liquids' are on the list to get tweeked still, given the liquids used in game and how they can be moved around - and all the pipe pieces in game with no current function.
Ability to import/export blueprints in Survival. (Lots of ability for 'abuse' here, but it still would be nice to reload my 'own' Survival creations for easier creation, if I have the materials on hand to build)
More variety to the bots, with more specific bot AI for the various types (work in progress - bots just got a recent AI update)

Cons
Physics at times can drain FPS rate if 'thing go wrong' (When they do, it's a panic to find 'what' broke and remove/fix it). Not only things you create, but in the world if you leave things in disarray (lag can occur in specific areas/tiles if you left that area/tile in a state of ruin - say a wood building knocked over, with bits all sliding around not coming to rest). This also gets better with updates. (I feel like SM's creators should talk to Astroneer's creators - lots to gain both ways I think.)

Can't wait for more storyline, perhaps more 'quest' goals in Survival, etc.

If you like building your own unique, functional creations be they buildings, vehicles, or just artwork in the game world you are playing 'in' - then you should pick this up for sure.

An addictive, peaceful 'Species/God/World' simulator game in the age of VR shoot-em-ups. Could use a little more randomness in species and their spreading/interactiveness with each other, but that is what updates and DLC's are made for. I'm working on super tall Red Maples at the moment with Monster Rabbits living under them.. :D

Bro... The best mindless, addictive 4 person shooter you can enjoy dying over and over together in!

This game needs a part 2, or a super awesome DLC with more maps (space!) or detailed continents in a DLC.

Seriously, get with it Bros!

This game has inherited the heart of Wipeout - a Playstation game from the past that will amaze you with how long you can hold your eyes open and not blink while playing. Play with the old soundtrack for good times! Feels like wipeout, sounds like wipeout - looks better than Wipeout!

Well.. It's certainly what I came looking for - the modern version of Roller Coaster Tycoon and then some in the social media workshop era of gaming. It still needs - something, I can't put my finger on it but I still give it a strong 8.9/10 and it continues to improve.

Forced me to buy a new computer to fully enjoy it (worth it) - frames were slipping on my old gaming PC once the map got fully packed in with proper rides, props, lighting, and whatnot. That's part of my overall raiting so consider that slight bias. So if you already have a hefty, recent PC, don't fret. If you're running an old rig even if it was once ultimate in the day a few years ago - New Rig time.

I will say up front to anyone starting fresh to this - spend a few hours browsing the Steam Workshop and get every piece of scenery, coaster, ride skin, lighting, theme, whatever that appeals to your eye - get it. Get it up front! And even after all that... You'll be back to the Workshop for more... Muhahahaha!

Do the first few career quests - then go have fun in the scenario and sandbox editors. Doing the careers will help you place your park resources better and understand your guest and park employee needs - so you can staff proper and avoid all the popup news chatter of 'Munchkins has been empty for some time now' and 'Some people think your park is gross!'.

The game could use some better in-game keyboard-shortcut hints. I've found many by watching people explain them in youtube videos, but I think some sort of in-game keyboard hints (if turned on) while building would be great. Keyboard shortcuts speed up your build, tremendously..

Building ride entrance and exits - is still Roller Coaster Tycoon level. I think this alone is something the game could improve hugely on. It could have better predictive and assistive mapping for ride (and normal) pathing for exits and whatnot. Pathing itself - can be easy and at times a pain in the $%&*. As I said a more predictive and assistive core to that aspect would be beneficial.

Otherwise again - 8.9/10 and after another week or 2 of the sting in my pocket from a new Rig - it'll be some sorta 9.x.. :)

This is fun - needs more 'tutorials' towards building certain types of vehicles; more help understanding 'what' the parts all do. Otherwise, this is sick fun.. :D

Addictive as crap, and I'm quite willing to start over, and start over to see new worlds. Nearly 30 hours played in 4 days, haven't felt this way about a video game in a loooonnng time.

For a pre-alpha, it feels nearly there -

Spawned, found a few resources - fell in a tunnel, ran out of O2 and had no battery to dig out due to nighttime.
Re-spawned, ran to my body, dug a trench, got to my body, reclaimed a few things
Killed by sudden storm while walking back
Re-spawned, ran to my body, gathered a few things again
Tried to dig up a plant - it spit poison gas at me and killed me
Re-spawned, ran back and finished killing the plant and harvested a resource for research.

Game just needs some multiplayer polish, ability to easily join a lobby and find fellow players and open worlds - and I have to say a better music score to it. Gets old after a bit, some of the soundtrack is, odd (not unappealing - just odd)..

Maybe some alien AI's setting up bases and wandering around doing what we 'humans' appear to be doing would be fun.
Some in-game 'Goals' as well with rewards. I have some things to try to do from all the feedback from the player base like building ramps into the sky to other planets and whatnot (We don't need no stinkin' spaceship!). Hoping some of it turns into in-game objectives or goals with rewards.

Have leveled the top of a mountain to establish a 'high' base, and nearly circled the first planet by placing beacons. About ready to build a spaceship and go check other planets out. (You can do that!)

Video of me dragging something back to my base!
