Amazing Left 4 Dead type game with so much more added, including:

- 4 different classes with their own playstyles
- randomly-generated and destructible environments
- levelling and upgrade system for you and your gear
- fun toys like grenades, grappling hooks, and ziplines
- space dorfs

Best played with friends but if you play solo, you get an adorable bot to keep you company.

Pros:
+ Graphics
+ Soundtrack (one of my favourites in my OST collection)
+ Gameplay
+ Story
+ The adorable little daemons

Cons:
- A handful of minor bugs (like some ghost acorns and one paper I couldn't read, nothing game-stopping)
- I wish it was longer so I could play it more

Absolutely recommend this game, it's a blast. The visuals are gorgeous, the soundtrack is amazingly atmospheric, the L.E.A.F. suit is really fun for running around and jumping everywhere, and the story is really engaging.

RimWorld is absolutely amazing. It has battles, drama, comedy, building, and management all wrapped up in a neat little package. Every game is different thanks to the AI storyteller. I can't even count the times I've laughed out loud at the craziness it throws at me.

The amazing amount of mods means you can customize a playthrough as much or as little as you want. I even took the time to make a few of my own mods for it (and it wasn't that hard to do).

For the amount of enjoyment I get out of RimWorld, it's more than worth the price. Definitely a game that I would highly recommend to anyone.

When it comes to survival games, this one is my very favourite. Here's why:

- More realistic mechanics than other games.
- You're not just fighting enemies (which can even be turned off), you're also trying to survive in the environment. Blizzards can kill you quickly if you're not careful and there's no fighting back against them.
- Fantastic atmosphere, very immersive despite the beautiful stylized graphics.
- The crafting is great. I wish there were more things to make but I always wish that no matter the game.
- Tends towards a slower pace, which can be relaxing if you enjoy that.
- Doesn't feel like a regular game with food and water bars tacked onto it.

I wish more survival games were like The Long Dark. If they add in building (which I believe it planned), transportation (also planned), and co-op (pretty please?), and it would be absolutely perfect.

Absolutely beautiful graphics with a heart-warming (and heart-breaking) story. This games does an excellent job of telling this Inupiat fable, plus other bits of their life and heritage in unlockable short videos.

The only cons are a few glitches I ran into (which were fixed by going back to the last savepoint) and that sometimes the AI wasn't very smart while in singleplayer mode. If you're able to play co-op with the friend, I think it would be much more enjoyable and easier.

Loved it! Everything is great about it: the story, the graphics, the voiceovers, everything. I can't wait until the next story in the series.
