Early Access Review
What can I say, for a game that's been in early access since Dec 2013, I still feel like I've gotten my money's worth out of this game several times over. It's one of those rare indie games that the devs haven't given up on, they still put out meaty updates several times a year, and they're not afraid to scrap something that isn't working.

As a game that you and a couple of friends can pick up and survive together looting and killing zombies it is among the best that let you. It has minecraft-like building but with physics, you can totally demolish a building by destroying the supports. They're about to add a looting overhaul to make scavenging a lot more exciting in A18.

Whenever this game finally releases it'll be a huge success imo, but until then it's far more complete and playable than many games as is in Alpha 17.

P.S. The Fun Pimps seem to use alpha/beta in the traditional sense, and not the playable demo ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ Triple A studios started years ago. Alpha means they're still working on adding new systems and features. Beta is for polishing and bug squashing before release. Their beta when they hit it, probably won't be super long as they seem to go after the biggest bugs as much as they can while adding stuff.

Such a profound game and way of telling the usual Heaven vs Hell, good vs evil tale that's been told ad nausem. But how many games or other types of entertainment have you see the story unfold from another side, a neutral side that wants order above all else. I finally played it, after hearing people praise it in the past and let me just say: the hype was not unfounded.

It takes familiar tropes from Zelda and combines them with a stellar beat-em up akin to god of war or ninja gaiden. The bosses are clever and never a slog. The characters are fun, not super characterized but when you deal with angels, horsemen and demons- it's best not to humanize them too far or it serves to demystify them. Clearly the designers had this in mind.

The puzzles are really well done imo, not too convoluted and sometimes really rewarding once a seemingly complicated puzzle just 'clicks' after a few minutes.

I'd recommend any and all to play this one!

Such a very cool rogue-like old school space shooter. The visuals remind me of Geometry Wars, very stylized and basic but it works perfectly in this game. You piece together your ship, so instead of the older games like this where you pick up power ups to have 'quad shot' you just put four extra cannons on your ship! The randomness can be a difficult, but it's actually a blast trying to make it through the stages and just building what you can from the different parts you unlock on a run.

One thing that isn't rogue-like at least in the campaign is like FTL there are enemy ships homing for you on the main map so if you keep jumping and making progress you'll stay ahead of them, and if you die you get a few extra lives as each time you die the ships move one system closer to you. Which is pretty great because sometimes you'll get boxed in and melt like plastic.

TL:DR - Geometry Wars and FTL made sweet sweet spaceship shooter love and birthed this gem!

Excellent, bizarre, well-written, you won't find a unity-based isometric rpg like it. The world of Numenera is vivid, like something out of a bad nightmare/fever dream. The writing at times can be very Lovecraftian, and the descriptors very superfluous but it works in this setting. It adds to the surreal atmosphere you are immersed in, the characters are unique, the side quests plenty.

Basically, if you don't mind reading and like western rpgs like the ones Blackisle did, and Obsidian make - you should enjoy this one.

Where do I start? This game was a joy from the moment I picked it up, the world felt dangerous and my character's position in it precarious at the best of times. The designers did an excellent job writing, voicing and breathing life to a fantasy world under the iron fist of a tyrant. The characters all have distinct personalities and motivations and the actions you impress upon the world of Terratus have a very real feeling weight to them. I cannot reccomend the game enough if you like isometric rpgs that Black Isle and now recently Obsidian are famous for. The world is very vivid and life-like, something I often times take issue with in 'generic fantasy' worlds but this one is far, far from generic. I am well on board for a sequel having beaten it once, and I'm itching to go after one of the other endings/playthroughs already!

Get this game if you are an rpg aficionado!

So first thing's first, this game is not some epic dungeon brawler or hack and slash game. The combat serves mostly to just break up story segments and put a bit of urgency to some of the game's scenarios.

I really see this game as more of a visual novel than anything, it has loads of story and character building, you can use your auspex device to scan npcs and learn more about them for example. Some of the backdrops and levels are supremely well done and really hammer it home that you are in the 40k universe you just have to stop and absorb the atmosphere. No other 40k game has put this level of overall detail into a game yet.

You aren't in a warzone for one, which differs from nearly every other 40k game, you are Gregor Eisenhorn a fairly unique Inquisitor who travels around the empire trying to outsmart and outplay the forces of Chaos. It plays more like a police drama than your typical bolter porn stuff(which I do love in it's own way).

Really, if you can get past the graphics then this game is definitely worth the twenty dollar price tag in my opinion. It doesn't have Triple A production values but in that same vein it isn't asking a Triple A price.

This season pass was great. Head and shoulders above most studios cash grab dlc bundles! Don't let the haters fool you.

Bought the game once, guess I would have to rebuy this lump of a minecraft clone that has no actual gameplay to play it again. No dice.

Victor Vran is a breath of fresh air in a genre(arpg) that has toed the line for decades. It offers three different control schemes, gamepad, mouse & keyboard, or just mouse which is the usual fare. The default is WASD + mouse which is very fluid and engaging.

You can jump and defensive roll, which is something not often seen in these types of games, both are used to good effect in evading or exploring the various maps for secret areas.

As of writing this I'm merely 3 hours in, but the game has impressed me enough for me to take a short break to sing it's praises. Now to the details...

Outfits mostly just change how you play the game in small but important ways such as one giving you overdrive(ultimate attack) by being damaged, one that charges when you crit, and one that slowly charges on it's own and will stay filled.

The loot reminds me of Guild Wars 2, where a base item type will grant you 2 different special attacks along with the tried and tested affixes that range from finding more items, health leech, armor penetration and attack speech.

The voice acting is fairly solid, and humorous while the graphics will not amaze you but they are quite good in their own right both the sound and visuals mesh expertly together.

The game runs and plays smooth as butter. (I'm not sure how the online is but it sports 4 player co-op with chat rooms and the like)

Really, if you like ARPGs- GET THIS GAME NAO!

Like FTL but a little more action-y. It's a great little indie game set in a generic 'mad max' type of world. Do random quests, choose different dialogue options, amass a horde of scrap and vehicles to ravage three different bandit tribes. It's a steal for $8 but totally worth it for $15!
