Lukewarm recommendation. I never read the comics, but I understood the game and characters well enough. However, just as I thought the game was getting started, it ended. It's REALLY short. It's like the length of what I would consider one episode. So keep the length in mind when buying it. My hours are out of whack because I fell asleep a couple times and let my pc stay on all night.

It has some bugs. Nothing terrible. More like unpolished details of the game. There are discrepancies between the dialogue and the objects, notably with the objects you get the rings from. Pizzaboy describes them incorrectly. Also his responses are lacking in certain situations. There's always only one response when you try to use the mouth/talk command on an object. It would be nice if they came up with more than just one response. Anyways, it was enjoyable, as short as it is. I would guess it's a 6-10 hour game.

Absolutely recommended! This game is high art as well as a fun very interesting horror game. It needs to be experienced. After the game I recommend checking out the behind the scenes "museum" which shows all the concept art and various changes the concept went through for the game, starting as a Bachelor's thesis project. It's amazing. The art and atmosphere in this game, as well as level design is top notch, and it shows how that was achieved by being flexible enough to constantly change the game until they got it right, to avoid making a generic horror adventure game. There is even a replayability factor because the world is so atmospheric and wonderfully surreal that it feels like a crazy dream you had that you want to have again.

Recommended, with a caveat. Just know what you are getting into. My expectations of what this game would be were very different from what it is. It IS silly, absurd, funny, first person walking sim/adventure, etc BUT it's not as much like an adventure game as I would expect. It's basically a first person game where you walk around and collect objects in a sort of linear fashion. It is NOT open world. Areas are regularly blocked off (explained in the "story") and then opened and sometimes blocked off again in a way to direct you from one area to another in order to guide you to where the next objects are. While collecting objects, you will also use them in very specific places that are clearly highlighted for you. Objects themselves are also highlighted prior to picking them up, so you can easily see them from a moderate distance. The story is NOT interactive at all. It's only told therough lore and cut-scenes. You do not interact with any characters at all, so it is unlike an adventure game in that way. It is relatively short. Probably took me about 8 hours. It's entertaining and fun, but just know what it is and what it is not. I would suggest a tag as "adventure-like" or "adventure-light". Replayability is not really there for me, either. Get it on sale.

Highly recommended! Instant classic for the point & click adventure game crowd! Very well written story and puzzle design, artwork, atmosphere. Definitely not for children. It's a pretty dark story in some parts.

Difficulty is great. Not too easy or hard. I got stuck twice, and I'm an adventure game veteran. Not much else to say except it's a must buy. 10/10.

Review for all three: Partial recommendation. Sorta meh.. Episode 2 was probably the most entertaining of the three, but overall the writing wasn't great, tried to be a bit too edgy/gross/offensive at times without actually being that funny.

Hector is a crass grump of a cop, so he's not that likable as a protagonist. I got tired of his grumpy "jokes" about (insert noun here). It gets old. I was ready for it to be over before it actually was so I could check it off my list and move on to the next game. I did NOT play all three back to back. Rather, I played other games in between.

I give it a very weak recommendation since there is no neutral choice. It was entertaining at times, had a few genuine laughs here an there (but not enough), and was entertaining enough to kill time and not make me quit before the end which I will do if a game is bad enough, like The Whispering World.

I recommend it! It's far from being a challenging p&c game as far as the puzzle difficulty goes, but the overall experience and story are very enjoyable and entertaining. Episode 1 is basically a very short introduction, and really should've been used as a free demo/episode since it was only three hours long. Episodes 2 & 3 were about 3x as long. I'm sure I got these all on sale, and I'm glad I did. If you like p&c games, it's a must-play.

Really good! And a big improvement and expansion of Chapter one. This chapter was at least twice as long, probably 8-10 hours. I got stuck twice each for an hour, and had another hour of idle pc time. It was more difficult than Chapter 1, and it didn't hold your hand as much. Chapter 1, in retrospect seems almost like a tutorial compared to Chapter 2.

The only con is, just like Chapter 1, it suffers from audio issues. For whatever reason, some dialogue is at a very low volume compared to the majority of the dialogue. Also, you definitely need to turn the music down in the settings by at least 50% or else it drowns out the dialogue. It's a minor issue considering how enjoyable the game is overall, but I wish they would do an update where they fix the audio. It seems like it would be an easy fix, but I'm not a game developer.

Chapter 1 review: So far, so good. This probably took me 3 hours. My time says 5, but I took a nap once. That's not a criticism; I was just super tired. It was fun, but a bit too easy. Sometimes the dialogue tells you what to do with the puzzles before you have a chance to figure it out for yourself. Hopefully the later chapters don't hold your hand as much.

The story, characters, and art are really enjoyable, though. That's where most of the appeal comes from in this game. Even the simple puzzles are still entertaining, and the main character, Bwana, is very charasmatic and likable, unlike games like The Whispered World, which is a dreary slog to get through because of the whiney and depressed protagonist, Sadwick. This game stands in stark contrast to that. Bwana is a happy, easygoing dude.

Bottom line: It's fun and very enjoyable, yet a little too easy and short. Still, definitely recommended. Buy on sale due to its short length.

EDIT: At 50+ hours, I'm still completing achievements, exploring alternate story branches, and STILL having fun. There is a ridiculous amount of content in this game.

Sofa king fun. Much, much more than just a porno/dating sim. This is a real, closed-world, first-person, adventure game, with a little combat thrown in--clunky combat, but you get the hang of it after enough tries, and fails. Just use quicksave often, and make some additional hard saves just in case. I found one bug which made me load an earlier save.

This is an adult, comedy, adventure game. Get the free uncensored DLC patch if you wanna see everyone's bit and pieces. Replay value is high since it is still under active development. They are adding new storylines, and even custom stories (which I haven't checked out). In the main story, it is impossible to complete each character's story/achievements in one play-through since choices matter, and you will often close one door by opening another with your dialogue choices and actions.

Highly recommended if you have a silly, dark, adult sense of humor and like the problem-solving aspect of adventure games. Think of it like a modern day first-person Leisure Suit Larry where you can actually see sex and nudity.

A must buy if you are a fan of the series. It is a rather simple game, but it is fun and really cute. If you like the show you will really enjoy playing this. It has just enough depth to not be another crappy promo product for a TV or movie franchise. It’s fun. It reminds me of old-school NES games like Zombies Ate My Neighbors.
