TL;DR: Extremely average yet overrated mix of Tenchu and Ninja Gaiden. Shallow gameplay with no real depth to the mechanics. Below average visuals, underwhelming audio, and intentionally poor design cause tedium masquerading as "difficulty".

-90% of the combat is R1 spam
-Feels terrible to spiderman your way out of a bad fight, player can endlessly reset combat until they get a good opener
-In fact, the above point actually feeds into games tempo feeling like World of Warcraft combat, pulling enemies from mobs, running and poking, repeat.
-Plunging kill attack only works when it feels like it
-DS2-tier hitboxes that teleport you into grab attacks
-Level design is a boring convoluted mess

Game tries to be Tenchu, Bloodborne, and Ninja Gaiden and ends up failing at all 3. The Tenchu stealth sucks because the game is designed with combat in mind, but the combat isn't that deep, and the hordes of enemies grouped to murderf%$k the player end up just being frustrating to deal with because of the game wanting you to be stealthy. The game is actually quite easy, easier than any souls game, easier than Ninja Gaiden Black and 2 which I have the most experience with, and easier than Tenchu, when you look at the core game mechanics and design the game is just tedious, and trying to be as wearying as possible as the combat is more similar to manual labor than the delicate dances of Souls or Gaiden.

6/10

Same classic flash game, but with loot boxes. Price seems a bit high for what's a good but pretty basic and bare bones game, would recommend at maybe $20 especially with the additional revenue generated from "gear boxes"

I'll cut to the important part.

Roughly 50 players left, developer has abandoned the game.

Was an interesting concept but unfortunately this game has moved on to the steam library in the sky.

A quick tour of the real money shop shows the developer did not leave this game gracefully as the F2P TCG grind economy is still in full effect. It would be nice and make sense if the developer came back to this game and just unlocked all the content for everyone as nobody is realistically going to spend money on this game anymore.

Sadly if you still want to play, don't expect to have a good experience in the off chance you find someone else as the power gap between free and premium content is quite large.

So much ridiculous variance from even from before you start the game. It's entirely possible to just straight up lose before the end of the first turn, and that means the most efficient way to play is to just keep surrendering after turn 1 until you get a hero placement that's favorable. Why they decided to bake so much RNG into this game is completely beyond me because the alternative to surrendering games where you don't have a favorable starting position is to dredge through an RNG slogfest where you're spending a very long time losing and if you start to creep towards a win, variance can instantly push you back into an unwinnable game state. It's like someone listened to Mark Rosewater talk about how slight variance can give people a chance that makes games intersting, and then implemented it backwards in that every game is a roll of the dice with a slight chance of the better player winning. Every single aspect of this game is randomly decided and as a long time competetive tabletop gamer across many systems including MtG, Android Netrunner, WH: Underworlds, YGH, and PKM. This game has absolutely zero competetive value or long term appeal, Please stay far away.

Game has potential for fans of Day-Z, however in it's current state the game is plagued by hackers with a lack of anti-cheat or banning/kick tools and a lack of features even for early access. Stay far away for a while and wait to see if these issues are fixed.

They really should work on making the game function over adding lootboxes to an unfinished mess
