Fun game, most players are very good so previous shooter experience is basically required to do somewhat well in any mode. Characters each have their own lore, some good and some bad. Butchers previous lore from Titanfall 1 and 2 and portrays characters from said games as weak and pathetic compared to how they actually are (examples: two IMC grunts managed to kill a pilot with their barehands while the pilot had a knife and smart pistol mk6 (which didnt lock on at all with no explanation); conduit's backstory has a weird monarch and vanguard hybrid titan which crushes it's own battery as a nuclear ejection, but there isnt an ejection and then instead of cancer conduit gets superpowers from touching a leaking, radioactive titan battery; etc.)

Gameplay loop is honestly only enjoyable with friends, and Rare bans you for using glitches that they say are allowed to use. Game is buggy at best and unplayable at worst. Loading is so unoptimized that it takes me about 5 minutes on lowest settings to join my friends.

Gameplay:
Voyages are jobs you can do for trading companies. Merchant jobs suck to do, Order of Souls' jobs are incredibly repetitive, and Gold Hoarder's are boring. Athena's are alright, but they take 5 hours to complete and are more of a "once is enough" type of thing.
PvP/PvE is very repetitive. In PvP, you either get crushed by the best people in the game or crush new players. PvE is a cakewalk because the ship AI sucks.
Talltales are the story element of the game, and have a large narrative. They also give exclusive rewards, such as curses, weapons, or shanties. Genuinely interesting stories, but all the rewards require you to replay the same talltale three to five different times just to get the rewards. This makes the Talltales feel really bad to do, as if you want anything cool from them you have to play them far past what they should be.

Bonus comments:
New update brings a massive ship bossfight. My friend who still plays the game has commented about how his PC is reduced to 5 fps just by standing on it, because it is so horribly unoptimized.
Hitreg is god awful. Can't describe how bad it is, just don't play.

TL;DR, Gameplay loop is repetitive and boring, game is buggy, company is horrible, and unoptimized.

this game is honestly great. buy it. if you're broke, there is an itch.io version. however, the itch.io version doesnt autoupdate, so whenever you want to update the game you need to reinstall. just buy the steam version.
