You can still run into bugs like enemies killed in the void seed not dying proper, which prevents you from clearing the last enemy to unlock the boxes inside.
Damage calculation for the void infused enemies is also mad busted, you could have a very strong run where you can shrug off pretty much any hit and then die after getting tagged for 0.5s and eating a 700++ damage tick, especially bad with fast firing units/lasers.
The items you pick up can screw you over even more, in the base game it was pretty much just personal shield generator messing up your one shot protection, having a copy of the flammable gas cylinder item amps burn damage to yourself.
Squid Turrets become incredible teamkilling machines if they get void possessed.
Also a lot of items that do nothing unless you've got other items to combo it.
New enemies being able to attack you before they're properly visibly spawned in (the flying rats), lots of annoyingly fast and small hitboxes (infestors, rats), new map being quite yuck, new prism boss having a ton of long range damage, going invul and floating really high on certain maps.
Void portal EX boss zone is really cheap with how much aoe insta kill gets spammed, it is a strong challenge for endgame content but it don't give off the vibe of good game design.
The whole DLC reeks of "you know what would be cool? what if we added this and that" but it doesn't feel well thought out and even less tested before release.
