There are some minor things you could do to make the game a more enjoyable.

In a multi player game, if a player has not interacted with the game for over a minute from the start the AI should replace.

In skirmish matches, if a player is dropped, they should be able to re-connect.

Please please please, make the game beep or have some dialog when the game starts. I see this as especially helpful at the start of a match when you are waitng ages for others to join. Some times your attention is elsewhere, before you know it the game has started and you are behind.

Please make it so the engineers can't trap themselves when building fortifications. They tend to favour being trapped, what is this so? I shouldnt have to micro manage a build, that's not really playing the game.

Even with top hardware, the reaction time of your army is delayed. Get rid of the delay.
