Don't waste your time on it and rather do something useful. Everyone says that but it took me quite some time to get that. And that wasn't because someone said it to me but because I figured it out myself. So this review is most likely wasted ... anyways, I did it for the summer sale so enjoy your time guys.

First of all a quick warning, i´m not doing reviews that often so if you´re looking for something professional you are wrong here ^^
What i can do though is giving you a little impression what the game might be.
I think many of you are familiar with the priciple of the Telltale games, where a story is told depending of the actions you do or the answers you give. There are more games with this style, but until now i liked the Telltale games the most appealing due to the comic style that feels alive and realistic at the same time. Every character has his own personality and backgroundstory that, if you don´t pay attention, you never will discover. It sometimes appears that you think you know what´s the best solution and after you try it, you realize you couldn´t have mistaken more. That makes this game highly replayable. I´m personally not the kind of person who plays a storygame more then once (exept for witcher 3ofc) but the "Batman" and "Wolf among Us" Telltale games may be two exeptions.

The game plays somewhere between Batman Begins and The Dark Knight if you try to orientate it on the movies.
I´m not going to spoil any of the story so this review is probably a bit general.
What i can say about the game is that you have exactly enough time to read all the options, but not as much as you would need to think it thourgh for some seconds so you will sometimes instinctively decide and instantly regret it before even knowing the result. That may sound harsh but it gives the game it´s own character, you´ll know what i mean when you played it.

The quick time events are absolutely fair of course you´ll fail here and there but you then just have to play the last sequence again that is normally not more than 10 sec. This shows that the main focuse is clearly on the story and the decisions you make.

And that is where the game shines. Maybe it´s because i´m such a Batman fan in general but the story is more than great.
I wish i could say more so that convincing you from the grandeur would be far more easy but at the same time it would be more for me to write and spoil the game for you so that has to be enough.

All in all (9.7/10) for all those who think that´s bad: Witcher is a (9.9/10), let that work on you.

Not going to be a long review.
The game is simple, but you have to think through it.
Especially in the more complex ones you need some trial and error combined with a bit of time to find the solution.
I got the game mainly because of the achivements with which you can customise your profile but while plaing it i found out that it´s a good way to calm down.
The concept is prety simple, though it pockets your attention so that you get away from the stress you have and can relax for a while while puzzling for a way to solve it.

For everyone who wants to have something different that you have to think through it´s a recommendation from me.
For everyone else in my oppinion sure worth a try ... if you don´t like it you can give it back so why not?

"The Wolf Among Us" is a telltale game based on the "Fables"-Comics. For what i´ve heared the comic plays shortly after the game and covers the many open questions that the games leaves you with when you finished the game. That doesn´t mean in any way that the game is incomplete or missing in something but it leaves you standing with some questions how it may continue now. For that i´m going to get the comics to know how the story goes on. :) (and i´m waiting for a second part because i would surely buy it but i´m not sure if they´re up to making a sequel)

Now to the actual review:
The game is, common for telltale games, kept in an comic-style. You´re playing Bigby "The Big Bad Wolf" who is the sherif of fabletown. In the beginning you´re faced with a murder and need to follow different trails and make decisions to clear up the case. While you´re plaing things get more complex and turn out differently as you expected. There are many known falbles like "Snow White" or "Beauty & Beast" who have the known past like in their fables but every character has also a own story to tell since they moved to fabletown. Poverty, oppression and many other problems are no exeption, just like in the real word and everyone tries to bring his life back together again. The decisions you make influence the further course of the game and the timelimit let you make decisions that you regret just seconds later. In some scenes it gets a bit brutal but for the USK/PEGI 18 it´s ok. The lovely but dark artstyle let the game look great and the lively characters grow dear to your heart because some are just treated bad and can´t do anything about it and others are just pure ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ or want to manipulate you. I have finished the game today with maby around 10-15 hours and even though it only took me like 3 days i´m feeling a bit empty inside ... luckily there are still the comics to hopefully fill that space.

Overall:
The Game ...
-has a nice Artstyle
-has lovely characters with a backstory
for every single one of them
-has a dark/rough style/world
-will cast a spell on you
-many other things ( read the text above and don´t be so lazy if you haven´t! )

All in all it´s a great game with a powerfull story, individual characters and is more then worth the actual price in my opinion. ;)

The time i played it for the first time i was bound to it and whenever i think about it i still remember that i thought that this is the best graphic a game could achive. The only downside was, that after the main story there wasn´t rlly something else to do. Now witcher 3 is already out for some time but it´s still worth playing it, because of the story it has. And for 3$ it´s more than worth the money. ;)

A sad yet beautiful story combined with a perfectly fitting soundtrack.Highly recommended for everyone who likes visual novels. In addition to that it´s free to play and even if you don´t like the genre it´s totally worth a try. :)
