Small details and simple objectives, with very nostalgic graphics. There's so many small details from the uniforms to the weapon types your squads get deployed with. As a history buff, I approve of this game, and the responsive devs, too.

So, it's pretty much Hotline Miami had a gangbang with splinter cell and escape from tarkov, and their hybrid genes birthed this awkward duckling of a game. The sound track actually proves it if you think I'm not being serious. Gives off serious chaos theory / hotline Miami vibes with a big splash of metal riffs that make me wanna car jack an ambulance.

Anyways if you're a fan of any of this crap I mentioned above, then try this game out at least for an hour.

Out of literally any other feature, I'm just glad there are NPC survivors who can be friendly, trade with you, or just clap some rounds at you randomly when you're out for a stroll. SO MANY zombie survival games never have implemented this even in a crude state. (not saying SCUM, DayZ, Zomboid or any other game is bad at all, they're amazing games only with other friends. or social interaction) The bigger threat in this scenario would be other people. It's captivating too, it makes me feel more immersed, not so chokingly isolated like in a 200 hour run on project zomboid. Please do continue working on this. I hope for team work with the AI and possibly even a trust system where they do you favors or bargain trades, giving special objectives, etc. Hell if the AI could be made to feel like you were actually surviving with other people, this game would skyrocket.

Ngl, it's gotten better

Then again, the norm for every new release is that it's always a work in progress, Whether it's labeled as one or not.

As a NMRIH 1 fan from childhood, this game brought me back. Minimal toxicity, and utmost team play when you find each other. I like it.

Honestly this game sits at the top of the food chain when it comes to RPGs. You have *almost* entire freedom of choice in what you want to do, with which individuals, factions, what kind of loadout and character build you want to run, you can be an absolute devilish menace to all of society (or what's left of it) or you can be an angel sent from the heavens above. You can be neutral or, hell you can just live out your days hunting mutants and animals for meager pay. From the very get go, you can spin right around and slaughter the very same doc that saved your sorry hide. Even the most important NPC's are killable, unlike fallout 4 or skyrims god awful fear of being softlocked, and devs being too lazy to write up a work-around. Obsidian and bethesda alike need to take a page from the elden days of RPG's. They had the muhfuggin krabby patty formuler and they tossed it for toy guns and lazy writing. This game had a ridiculous time crunch to even be released, and they still wrote down every external possibility they could think of. I know it's not in human nature to learn from the past, but DAMN do I miss the glory days of gaming. Onwards and upwards, couriers.

after due consideration, and a fight against both scar and strelok, ive come to the conclusion that this game launched as a flop, and may always be. This game has gorgeous graphics, but that's not what makes a game good. A smooth, steady, balanced gameplay, with even semi decent cutscenes, and an enjoyable gameplay loop makes a game more than good enough. It's why games like schedule 1, are blowing up and triple A titles and lesser devs trying to climb that mountain are failing. This doesn't appeal to hundreds of thousands of people. FFS the game is basically unplayable without FSR 3.1 and I have a pretty monsterous rig for only using 1080p monitors. Get your sh*t together S.T.A.L.K.E.R devs. It's seemingly more broken and choppy than it was in the beginning. FPS says 40 but it plays like arma 3 at 15 fps with a garbage CPU. I'm not trying to tell you how to make your games, but unreal engine 5 was also a big disaster and has been for many other games. You once developed your own engine for your own game. I understand all you've been through, and I understand you needed the money badly, but now that you have it, it's time to make the right choices with your budget. Fix performance first, then bugs, then add stuff. that's my opinion. I probably won't pick this back up for a few years. I'd rather play GAMMA or even COP at this point.
also, every time even a small hotfix drops, all my settings get set back to EPIC with no FSR, when I had everything perfect. THE F*** GUYS?

I believe that Ready Or Not embodies the true fun, horror, and tactics that could come from real police work. I'll never get tired of breaching rooms with flash bangs, shields and shotguns, and dying, having to work with morale, and command a squad. Best played with friends
