Early Access Review
It is a game that has a lot of promise and potential. Yes; on the surface its a combo of a plethora of other survival crafters with *that other monster catching game series that has been disappointing and repetitive.* However unlike *those other games* the devs are open with it being currently an early access product; so there is support available and they are actually listening to critiques and reports. More than can be said about...certain triple A devs promising a finished product that is a complete mess. I'm a believer in the potential of the game and am excited to see where it goes from here.

There was no TW like this before, and none came after. None stand on this giant's shoulders.

From the infantry, to the siege maps, to the artillery, to the cavalry, to the archers... name something that doesn't spark joy.

the only thing i can't recommend is getting expanded japan mods and trying a legendary Tokugawa or Mori campaign: you will get folded like origami.

Let me be foremost and say that while this game is both air and tank combat orientated, I only gave a damn about the air combat, because the tank combat is really cheap in my opinion. If you are just starting, you will get one shot killed. simple as that.

In terms of the Air combat, I do notice a degree of prejudice in terms of progression, but not slanted in favor of the russian faction. While the russian faction is one of the easiest to progress, I still argue America is even easier. Germany is probably a close third. But go with God if youre trying to progress as Japan or England. No idea really how the new Italian faction works as I dont typically play the axis factions.
There are moments of absolute ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ where your plane will combust after one shot, or more commonly, the pilot getting knocked out. Alot of this has to deal with level vs. level which in other instances means nothing because it is easy to take out higher level players too. Modify your plane and Upgrade your pilot alot and most of the bs ebbs away.

Game modes for air combat could be better. most of the time its along the line of strafing and bombing the enemy frontline and bases, but there are a couple of terrible King of the Hill game types that really don't fit if you keep a bomber in your line-up at all times. What I do wish they had was a Free-for-all mode.

Another great addition I think would be to add naval combat.

To accurately review this allow me to tell you what the game has and what the game doesn't.
Basically the game provides you a vareity of spaceships each with a particular strategic role. In a team based slaughterfest, you pilot your chosen ship and try to bring down the enemy fleet. The graphics are aesthetically pleasing and the SFX is very authentic, quite becoming of an ideal sci-fi game.

Now that I've pointed out what makes this game look great to take for a test drive, here's where my review looks under the hood and points out what areas need work. First and foremost, it is lacking a tutorial. To know what the controls are, you have to go through the options and then pretty much jot down all the keyboard controls on a notepad and keep it near by for reference as you learn the game through a tedious trial and error process.Secondly, the controls aren't exactly uniform for all the ships either: yes, in terms of mobility they are, but each ship has different weapons, meaning different triggers. Thirdly, the game doesn't have a notification system to let you know when your team is biting the dust or when the enemy is. Quite often I came to the horrific surprise of being this lone bomber against a fleet of 3 large ships with fighters still buzzing around. This ties in to the fourth issue: No communication medium at all. There is no way to plan and strategize with your team. Neither is there a way to call for help.

Now I bet you are wondering, "you just wrote a lengthy parapgraph ripping this game apart for what its missing; how can you still reccomend it?" Simple: I'm aware that the game is still being worked on and I'm willing to bet that all these problems I listed are going to be resolved after a few patches and updates. Who knows: maybe the team behind this is going to go a step further and add in a bunch of stuff (like customization) and completely make this review an ancient record of the game's infancy. I'm an optimist about this game in all respects because I can see it has promise. Overall its actually an original idea: a simple teambased space naval combat game. Just give it a try and you'll see what I mean

Incredibly difficult early game and a far too interrupting notiication system. its difficult to tell if you are actually damaging your opponent/target. While asthetically pleasing, it is not enough to be a saving grace. Do I recommend it? only if you've the patience to deal with what I've described.
