Early Access Review
Obviously, this is an EA review. From what is currently available, I see a lot of promise in this expansion. The (completed) biomes are beautiful and full of life. The story is engaging so far, but there is only enough to fill an hour or two of game play.

There are more than a few bugs and the game is severely lacking in features in its current state. The base building mechanic is unfinished and buggy at times. Several biomes are either incomplete or missing entirely.

The biggest problem is that once you reach the end of the completed narrative, there isn't much to do. The lack of tools and base modules currently available limits what you can get done. Exploration is difficult because of a lack of vehicles and there isn't much to be gained from it anyway.

In conclusion, you aren't buying this expansion for a completed product. You're buying it to support the developers and give them useful feedback as they work towards finishing the game. I have enjoyed what content is there so far and look forward to future updates.

I am the great great great gandson of William the Conqueror. The year is 1259. Foreign peoples arrive from the West. Aztecs? They conquer Iceland and Brittany. 12/59 would face a European genocide again.

Edit: add 2 more greats

I don't understand all the hate this game is getting. It's freaking amazing. Sure there are some questionable aspects such as DLC and minor balance issues but that doesn't change how much fun I have playing this game. Premium commanders can also be earned as you level up. If you enjoy WWII and RTS games i would strongly recommend this game.

After several hours of struggling through tutorials, I finally came to grips with the basic flight controls. Feeling confident in my abilities, I quickly started playing. I leave the station an eager and inexperienced pilot. After traveling around the solar system I was in for a few minutes, I was attacked by a criminal. After a 20 minute long battle invloving wits, tactics, and piloting talent, I finally managed to destroy the aggressor. I was rewarded with a redeemable voucher for just over 3000 credits. The feeling of achievement was indescribable. I was ready to take on the galaxy. No one could stand in my way. I promptly set a course to the nearest space station. After requesting permission to dock, I preceeded to enter the depths of the station. I then headed to the nearest landing pad. I was issued a warning not to loiter above landing pads. Confused, I tried another pad, then another, then another. Frustrated I finally decided to try one last time before givng up. Before I knew what was going on, I was taking damage. My ship exploded after a few of seconds. It turns out the penalty for landing pad loitering is death.

10/10 would space loiter again.

Edit: Almost a year later and after countless trial and error experiments, I finally discovered that you are assigned a landing pad and it is clearly marked both in plain sight and on the little compass on the bottom left. Better tutorials probably could have cleared this up.
