Klasse Story! Aber Souls-Like...?

Ein sehr hochpoliertes Third-Person-Sci-Fi-Horror Adventure. Die Gefechte fühlen sich sehr befriedigend an und die Fähigkeiten sind nützlich. Das Design des Spiels hatte mich damals angezogen, abgeholt hat mich allerdings die Story, wirklich toll umgesetzt.
Das Ende gibt Hoffnung auf mehr :)

Viele Mechaniken im Spiel hätten Potential für mehr gehabt. Das Spiel trägt den Tag Souls-Like, allerdings bin ich auf mittlerer Schwierigkeit beim ersten Durchlauf genau 1x gestorben. Im Forum beschweren sich viele Leute über die hohe Schwierigkeit selbst auf einfach...Kann ich nicht bestätigen.

Regarding all the controverse discussions...
Is this still Killing Floor?
I have played all 3 titles, the previous ones for over 10 years and yes, it still is!

Whats really good in this game:
+ Gore and Blood, as you like it.
+ The music does not disappoint, if you liked the music in the previous titles.
+ New Weapon crafting, a good amount of upgrades and gadgets.
+ Strong class abilities
+ The trashtalk of the protagonists have the same quality as in the previous titles.
+ A new attempt to interact with the environment, like explodables, ziplines, defense turrets and chest you can open.
+ You can now refill ammo during the round, which is very helpful, as long as you bring the dosh ;)
+ You now have a playerhub where you can flex with your homies, pretty cool.
+ Same gameplay loop like in KF 1 + 2
+ New Questsystem
+ Story Missions
+ Deeper Skilltree than in KF2

Yes...there are also some letdowns::
- No textchat............ (Will be fixed with a future patch)
- Characters and perks are BOUND. Foster is now the Commando, you cant change it. (Will be fixed in a future patch so you can mix and match the perk with the character you want, like in the previous titles)
- Battle pass on day 1 (Which would not be a problem from my point of view, if there wouldnt be missing such elementary things like a textchat).....
- If you are joining the que for a mission, you cant interrupt it, which is especially frustrating when you cant find a match or its bugged again or whatever... You have to go back in the title screen, which is pretty dumb.

Can you still have fun? YES! If you are happy with the gameplay loop of KF in general, you wont be disappointed.
The most things people complain about are already announced to be fixed in future patches. I can understand why people are frustrated, but is the game so bad in its current state to be burried? No, definitely not!

You wake up in a champer, see a demon, beat him to mud with your fists. Find a pistol, shotgun, dual smg, minigun, laser sniper rifle, rocket launcher, plasma rifle and blow up hordes of demons while listening to rock music.

Not good at all...The visuals are fun to watch if you have many units deployed but...

-Totally unrewarding and pretty senseless progression system.
-Enemy mortars are unkillable and cant be avoided which splash you with aoe dmg.
-Your units sometimes refuse to fight and let themself be shot, happens often and costs you the round.
-If you have a lot of snipers deployed, there are coming 30 enemies at once, your 20 snipersare all targeting the same 1 enemy and shoot at once, makes sense. :D
-Extreme deployment bugs. Especially the M3 Truck cant be placed in the right way in almost all missions. The model is too big to place it on most maps. With other units like the SMG even its a small model I cant deploy it properly even its highlighting green...
-Zombie mode is a poor mobile copy which feels extremly clunky and unbalanced.

Overall is this game a buggy mess with frustrating and totally random outcomes. Your success depends 50% on how many bugs you have to face in every mission and the other 50% how good you are at the game.
Spare your time with this one, there are way better options out there...

Game started good but...

Positive Points:
+ Graphics are really good and makes fun to watch top down.
+ Crafting System for Armor and Supplies
+ Walking around and looting through abandoned houses feels cool

Negative Points:
- Tons of localization bugs, some parts were in spanish, even when I play on german.
- The writing is TERRIBLE
- Story is finest trash, the whole point of playing through all of this was to find your lost daughter, you find her in the end, have 1 line of conversation with her, bam - credits. Stupid :D
- Game feels really rushed in the end...
- Extreme performance problems when a lot of enemies or big buildings are on the screen, the game extremely slows down followed by stuttering.
- Balancing, you are fully crafted when you reach area 3/5. This is really sad and doesnt reward you anymore by exploring the whole area...
- Only 3 weapons... (which can be upgraded once)

Since games like these are cheap as f*** I wont bring the amount of money spend together with the amount of time you get out of this, because your time is the most valuable you have. So is it worth your time? No it is not...

Well...Just finished the game.
I love all kind of Souls-Like like Darksouls, Bloodborne, Lords of the Fallen etc...
This game is not as bad as people want to sell you in the reviews, but still I had to downvote, because neutral is not possible...

Positive Points:
+ Game is much prettier than people are talking here in the forums and reviews... Still better than most of the originals From Software Games.
+ Armor Design is pretty cool when u are able to craft better armor later on.
+ Probably the best approach to ranged combat in all souls-like games I have played yet.

Negative Points:
- The story is utterly trash. Ancient alien civ disappeared..Bad guys show up, looking for something no idea. The whole story was really nonsense and you did not miss anything by skipping all the notes on the ground.
- Massive empty rooms - Yep, you are literally walking for 5 minutes to find out that there is absolutely nothing in alternative routes to disover or loot...
- Stat points, there are stat points that make no sense, because other stat points value multiple stats while others are just affecting one stat, with the same impact, so its very confusing.
- Balancing is really strange, there are enemies that punish you hard for attacking them in melee and also in range, you have to kite them unncesseraily long around the room to the land some shots...Just playing with your time to prolong the game.
- There is no new game + or any reason why you should play the game for a second time.
- Lots of stuff will be missing in your inventory which you were not able to craft due to lack of materials. The game wants from you to kill all bosses again for two times on the same difficulty to get the materials. But there is no additional content or challenge to try to weapons on. There is no benefit or motivation for you doing so, except the achievments.
- The last boss is having a MASSIVE difficulty spike compared to the other bosses.
- The elemental system where you can apply debuffs to enemies can be neglected, you cant add them to bosses anyway due to their fast subside. And adding them to normal enemies doesnt make any sense because they die too fast.
- Level Design is unrewarding and not clever like to be expected from a souls-like.

The ending of the game is somewhat of spoiling a second part with multiplayer aspects, but literally it felt like a joke watching the outro, because it did fit exactly into the rest of nonsense you have been told.

Sorry devs, your approach was good, with nice design aswell, but somehow the spark did not glow long enough to rescue this game anywhere since the community burried this game hard and fast.
