Idk what to say here I used to play this game constantly on tablet I stayed at the top of the leader board season after season I loved this game. But then they removed a bunch of things while they were switching from the old graphics to the way the game currently looks and I stopped playing. When I came back the game was completely overhauled and all my unlocked weapons were gone. The weapons literally take 100's of hours just to unlock a single one and even though I was at the top of the leader board season after season I was still playing with basically starter weapons I had maybe 5 I had unlocked in 500 hours of play so I wasnt at all interested in grinding another 500 hours to get lucky to unlock the parts i needed for 5 basic guns. That really made me dislike a game I really loved up to that point but the update just changed everything about how the game played they only thing that remained was the general idea and layout of maps and it lost all its charm and played almost completely different. I went from a 5 hour a day player to maybe playing 4 more times before never installing it on my new devices. So I though Id try the pc version but its more of the same I wish the old version could come back it was SOOOOO much better.

GAME IS FRIGGIN SWEET!!! If you grew up when wolfenstein 3d was released and loved doom 1&2, hexen, heretic, rise of the triad, quake, duke 3d, etc and couldn't get enough of them this game will bring a smile to your face. Even if your childhood didn't include those things and you're like 10 you will still love it.

Game is friggin sweet its so fast paced its insane. Combat is amazing and the monsters are great.

My main issue and its a huge one for me is they left out coop campaign which is just ridiculous considering doom from the very first one was a heavily played coop game. I myself probably put in over 1000 hours playing doom 1 & 2 with my friends coop over the phone line during school months and during the summer we setup the pcs next to each other at one of our houses and used a lpt cable. Doom without coop isnt a complete game. There is snapmap coop levels but they're user created and its a crap shoot you can try 50 of them before you find one that is worth spending more than 2 mins on if your lucky.

Edit - the second paragraph no longer applies since the recent update inviting or joining a friends game can be done right from the menu in game or from the steam friends list like it should've been from the get go. SO MUCH BETTER!!!!


My buddy that I always play vidya copped it first and loved it and really wanted me to get it so we could jam. He got it a week before I finally caved and got it myself I absolutly hated it for the first few missions I had never played a monster hunter game and was running around like a headless chicken trying to figure out wtf was going on. I couldnt find the monsters before i collected enough tracks to get the scoutflies working correctly and was seriously considering returning it but I gave it another chance and I'm so glad I did. Once everything clicked and I knew what I was supposed to be doing Ive been having a hell of a time with this game. At first I only played when he was online since I wasnt really excited about it but now I play no matter what and will solo like a champ. If youre new to MH games give it a chance I know at first its hard to like but once you get the mechanics down you will be glad you hung in there.

One of the things that really put me off was capcoms crap online ui, once again their games online access and design is stuck in 1995. If your friend starts a private game instead of just joining them or having them invite you like every other game in existence your friend has to copy and paste a unique session id to you in external chat wether its steam or facebook it doesnt matter it just cant be in game. Then you copy the id and seach for it and join the game its so ridiculous especially when you can see your friend in the freinds session list in game but cant join them and there is no instructions on this nonsense workaround so you just have to kinda figure it out you can click your friends game and choose join and it just says sorry you cant join a game in session this way. I just cant figure out why they decided to even have a list of friends games online if you cant e3ven join them from said list. Its annoying but dont let it take away from the fun of them game.

It's got a little better since i updated this review after "full version release" it still should be called beta to this day but it is much better than it was many months ago when it came out of early access. It never should've came out of early access when it did because it wasn't near ready and still isn't but its getting closer even if its painfully slow and they sometimes make decisions that feel like were going backwards imo. But it is actually playable now without screaming the entire time. Give it a try again if you gave up on it like most of us its getting there.



LMAO version 1.0 best joke in all 2018! Shouldve stopped at .57 it was a much better experience than this nonsense. Nothing like going backwards the new inventory is garbage cant even reach in a pocket while im moving, never had a backpack I couldnt reach in while walking either. All the crafting and acting on items is supposed to happen from the hotbar so this inventroy crap wouldnt be an issue, yet every single action still begins in the inventory nothings changed except you made it 10 times more cumbersome and annoying so why did you remove drag and drop? The decisions they made all throughout development are beyond insanity I have no idea who is signing off on this crap but they arn't listening to the players. Every single person I used to play with had thousands of hours and all of them have quit playing since this "improved" version most common complaint is the stuff I said about inventory and next is needing to press a 4 button sequence to fire a gun. Who thought having us hold right click then press shift then roll the scroll wheel up then left click to fire was a good idea? SERIOUSLY WHO THINKS OF THIS NONSENSE? Good job ruining my favorite game of all time, I feel so bad for the friends I talked into buying this game they heard all about my great stories and only got to play garbage.

This game is amazing! Play it now you wont be dissapointed. If you like over the top action based on 90's action heros this is the game for you, hell even if you dont this is still the game for you.
