Yeah, wow the combat feels terrible.

I got this because I liked lords of the fallen and I've heard this is similar to it. Honestly this game was just pretty boring by comparison so I returned it.

I think a lot of the negative reviews are from the past poor optimization and bugs that have largely been fixed (aside from keybinds). This game still has a lot of flaws and lacks some polish, but its so rare to find a game that actually takes a risk and tries something new at the risk of being controversial.

This is a mix of a 3d platformer, collect-a-thon, bullet hell third person shooter, and open world RPG. The story is a bit predictable, but very charming in its execution which is reminiscent of pixar. 6.5/10 Buy on sale (4USD).

Very try hard, very complicated, and very racist. 7/10

Excellent game if you know what you're getting into. Just understand that this is a Twin stick shooter with rpg elements, NOT a cyberpunk ARPG/Diablo clone.

The gunplay is extremely good. Guns feel powerful with great sounds, great effects, big blood splatter and top tier ragdoll physics buffoonery. The visuals are stunning in both art style and fidelity. I have some minor gripes about the objective arrow being wonky sometimes, or the camera not being modifiable, but overall for the price (especially on regular sale for 9 USD) this game is an absolute steal. 8/10

I don't even particularly enjoy diablo clones, I'm just here for those sweet sweet ragdolls.

I don't mean this in a negative way, but this game feels like it was designed by someone who is profoundly neurodivergent.

I can't believe this has only 65% positive reviews. I went in purely because I was a massive fan of the painkiller series and I know people can fly know their way around some fast brutal and bloody combat. I assumed there must be some big catch that I had to endure like terrible performance, glitches, or a horrible plot or something.

Nope. This game has a fairly well written, motion captured, and voiced story with an interesting art style, amazing visuals, good performance and exceptionally good horde shooting. These crybabies are literally whining that they don't like a bonus endgame to an rpg that already tells a complete story and lasts 30-40 hours between the main and side quests.

Strong 8/10 heavy recommend on sale


Side note: Wtf kind of dork sinks 130 hours into a game only to NOT recommend it? like, you hated it so much that you had to play it like your job for 3+ weeks?

Short but sweet. Recommend on sale.

Its really annoying how many characters are locked behind DLC, but to be fair by the time you max all the standard characters, youll be at least 50 hours into the game if not more which is not bad for a 7 dollar game let alone a 1.39 dollar game.
