why are these types of games always so janky? why does the worst made trash get so popular? ffs, you can make a game thats hard and doesnt play like crap

The purpose of this review is a warning to anybody who wants to play with their friends. There are plenty of other reviews on the game that describe how the game stands as an experience apart from premade groups with your friends and I don't have enough hours to comment on that.

This game doesn't allow you to join a game as a group. So if you have more than a couple friends you're trying to play with then you wont get to play on the same team together. Additionally, players on xbox cannot see all of the servers that pc players can see and there is no way to add an xbox user to your friends list on PC so theres no way to join through the friends filter. This makes playing with your buddy on xbox near impossible. According to rebelrebel below in the comments, xbox players cannot play with pc players at all.

These are errors in product development that have apparently been present for years. I am unaware of any proposed fix on the horizon.

repurchased the game and it runs in linux without having so much control over my system and crashing for no reason. i absolutely do not recommend buying this if you use windows

Really a pretty good game. There's some flaws just like any game, but I've easily gotten my moneys worth out of this game. I look forward to all the new content.

Still an awesome game. There are some issues that come up in patches and some things I think they should change, but its still a really fun game.

A recent patch on 2/8/2025 introduced a few bugs, like increased spore mine spawns. Spore mines are an enemy that forces you to stop playing the game and dodge roll over and over for sometimes over a minute to get to a place where you can finally shoot them and start turning the tide; truly bad game design. They also introduced an enemy that creates even more of those spore mines. The patch introduced a few more big bugs, which I won't bother with all of them, but now there are just so many issues with the game that its just not fun to play the latest version any more, I have to go play a version locked install of the game that I can't play online...

I got my fun out of this game, obviously; and as mentioned I continue to play the previous version of the game offline, but the game has devolved to the point of no longer being worth anywhere near $60, so I am forced to change by recommendation to a negative.

Excellent mini game. It takes just under an hour to complete and in that hour none of the mechanics of the game overstay their welcome.

i have absolutely no idea what human intercourse has to do with a game about building cars, but thats weirder than a weird weird weird weird

this is one of the best motherload inspired games ive played. good work

This one must have been designed to get people into the genre because first of all its free, and secondly it started out with some pretty bad puzzles and got to about low-mid puzzles. Still pretty enjoyable. If anyone is interested in more from this dev, I'll just say that their other games are some of the more difficult puzzle games on Steam and they are pretty innovative with some of their designs.
