Well i didn't play it but i did find the cursor sensitivity to be far lower than what I use. I'm just leaving to this to say... stop. if you are going to leave one of these "prologue" demos, be a man and put it in the title. I thought first contact was part of the full title. why? it sounds cool. Prospector sounds boring. Your title is misleading. We need a prologue tag so I can blacklist things like this.

3 Steps to find out if synthetik is right for you!

Step 1: install and launch arena
Step 2: launch the legion demo
Step 3: realize it's kickass
Step 4: create a co op session and have your friend also realize it's kickass
Step 5: Both of you buy the game because it's on a badass sale.
Step 6: it's so kickass it kicked 3 extra steps than intended
the end

Getting lost while finding stuff to bring back with you because you haven't built a beacon is survival games for me in a nutshell. I still need to get better at base building but thankfully I don't have to. You see making stuff that moves and functions out of all the scrapped stuff you find in the world is the name of the game. There may not be a whole lot in exploration but at least there's enough stuff to do to keep you busy. I have not finished the game at all as you can tell. But I know when a game is good. If you can restart your save to try not to forget the battery this time, and still have fun... It's a good game. Fun is all that matters. Just watch out for the lag. That's the enemy of fun. But fun can overpower it sometimes.

Ok so ror2 is getting an update soon along with a paid "expansion". So before you think of buying it... Think about this:
-They release the game out of EA with a tiny update
-They lock an update behind timed exculsive
-And now they lock more variety behind paid dlc

Here's the thing. The game is boring once you see everything. It's also doesn't take a long time to see everything. It's pretty much linear. So this bare bones game has the guts to ask for more money?

These people praise the devs and think a small dev team needs all the money they can get. Well let me tell you... These devs got caught up in greed. At least the No man sky dev story isn't full of greed

Is this game worth $30? no.
Is this game worth $5? sure. (wrote this during sale)

Will this game be worth $30? yes.

So when it releases if most of the goals are reached buying it now is like buying a used time capsule. If you want to support the game then buy it and don't play it. (or play it too) Try the demo out to see if you can run it and see what combat is like. I assume the demo is going to be like a f2p version where you can play online with others in default drones and that's it.

If you really think games are worth $60 then this will definitely be worth that. So until then... Let everyone that would be interested in what the future game will be, be notified of this upcoming pvp and pve hit.

Editing this... Please hold. (cause it was too long at start -_- )

-=Co Op=-
Deep Rock Galactic is a co-op shooter where everybody needs to pull their own weight. No mindlessly shooting cause ammo doesn't spawn everywhere. The longer you stay, the more enemies show up. Resulting in you losing ammo. But don't fret, ammo is refillable. Just mine a certain resource and call a supply drop. But, you have to share that ammo. So think of others before yourself.

-=Gameplay Loop=-
The gameplay loop is:
-Mine and collect
-Defeat bugs
-Extract

-=Difficulty=-
Ok, so the difficulty is determined by player count, hazard level, length, complexity, and red mutators. Haz 1, low complex, low length, no red mutator, solo, (without bosco?) being the easiest. And haz 5, high complex, long, a red mutator, and 4 players being the hardest. You will see certain enemies more often, the higher the difficulty. But it feels like if one person can't handle it, you're bound to have a hard time. So stick with easy when joining randoms and bump up the difficulty or lower it 'till you're comfortable. It's better with friends obviously.

-=Replayability=-
Ok, some don't think it's replayable, but I do. Idk... I just love killing bugs. And seeing them crawl on walls is so cool. Sure the game gets repetitive at times but unless you are playing on Haz 1 by yourself, it never feels boring... at least for me. Just don't play too much or you'll get burnt out. This upcoming update is gonna add even more stuff to do. So replayability gets better in the long run I guess?

-=Singleplayer=-
If you just want to experience the game by yourself, you can do that, with the aid of Bosco; your all purpose companion. He shoots, fires rockets, revives (limited times), lights things up, mines resources, and best of all... salutes when you do. But you can turn him off if you want to. But why would you? Ingame pets are awesome! But if you do decide to... Maybe you just want to challenge yourself, like having no lights. (Bosco won't turn his off) Or Bosco just makes things trivial. (He is really helpful unlike some teammates...)

-=Verdict=-
Game is great. The devs play it. Tons of fun for solo or a team. Enemies are a blast (some are) to fight. And the music can make you feel you're in danger.

Is this game replayable? Yes
How so?...

As you progress through the campaign you can unlock classes. these classes have unique starting items. Usually it's a melee and a ranged weapon. (correct me if I'm wrong) Unbeknownst to you, the starting class is unique as well. You see at the start of a level (except the first and intro) you have limited inventory space to bring items you brought from the level you just finished to the next one. The starter class Office has no special items so you get 2 extra slots. Which means you can hoard more stuff as this class.

Now lets talk about the inventory system itself.

(this info is incorrect. see Edit Note 1)
For starters... the items you receive from the introductory level are lost when you reach the 1st level. When you reach level 1 you only get your trusty flashlight. All the items you find will carry over to the first campsite. (the campsite is a place where you can bring stuff from the campsite stash with you to the next level) However after some testing money does not carry over. The highest amount of money you have on you when you reach the campsite replaces the lower amount. (kind of like a highscore) Money is used in shops lying around in level 2 and up. So in a sense there is no limited inventory slots in a level. just limited when you move on to the next. So you could keep replaying a level to have more items to bring in the next.

You can increase inventory space by finding random suitcase drops. (there is always one per campaign level) You must bring the suitcase to the campsite to gain the slot and once that's done you will never have to get it again for that class. Each class has their own progress. But the postcard items can only be gotten once. The first 8 levels have them. It doesn't matter what class you use. So keep that in mind when you try looking for a postcard on a level you didn't complete but you found the card previously. (I have made that mistake before)

As far as gameplay is concerned there are 2 ways to play the game. Stealthily. or not stealthily. (keep in mind that certain actions increase the enemy population thus making the level a bit harder. Also when you kill an enemy it respawns elsewhere) You are forced to adapt and use your resources wisely but you won't necessarily have the same drops. Allowing for more replay value.

I have yet to finish the campaign but I watched someone else do it via YouTube. When you beat it you unlock the suburbs. Which has no campsite but instead puts everything you brought at the end of the level into the 1st level's campsite. (which previously there was none) The levels are randomized of each of the campaign levels though I'm not sure. I don't know if the difficulty scales as you go through them. If not then it's perfect for a casual small run.

The last bit of replay value is the horde mode. Which is basically no stealth, kill zombies, and try to stay alive as long as possible. you start off with nothing and the inventory menu does not pause. Your class specific to this mode can only find certain items. there are around 4 or 5 stages. and over 5 classes I think. So if you are into endurance this has some decent replay value.

I lied. the true last bit of replay value is there is a reset all progress button. So if you want to start anew. the game's got you covered.

Thanks for reading! Give this game a shot.

Edit Note 1: apparently the way the money works is the same as the loot. so for instance you can't bring 1 thing of hairspray when you previously brought 3. You would need to bring 4 to change it. this also means that anything you bring from a campsite stays in that campsite.

Warframe is a game where all the elements of a pay to progress faster, make up the game. If you think farming is boring then you should know that there are so many ways to farm in this game it isn't boring most of the time. On top of that there is a trading system that lets you trade premium currency.

Now as for stuff that's bad about this game is just the bugs really. Curently I made an alternate account cause the chat wouldn't load. As if it was never connecting me. So I made the alt account to talk in chat and do chat related things. Then when I need to join a squad I'll tell them to invite my main account. (I exit the game and sign into my main, then accept the ivite to get in the squad)

Overall Warfame is fun, has alot of content, and is really buggy at times. So I recomend this game if you can deal with bugs.
