I don't know how to play this game. I can still win but it takes me 10 minutes to figure out why that was a checkmate. Its a very complex game.

One day I hope to win a game on purpose.

Please do this every year except let people actually play the demos.

Mystery of Danganronpa cross with Legend of Grimrock dungeon crawling.

I got over it. Apparently 96% of people didn't tho.

So only buy this game if you are better than 96% of gamers.

Extremely hard but just get over it (with Bennet Foddy)

It's better than you think, like WAYYYY better.

Amazing atmosphere, really draws you in! Still going through the game to 100% but here is my first impressions.

So far I've got to one ending in 4.5 hours of playtime; a 'neutral' ending I think and there is definitely more for the game to give so I'll be back to experience/see the rest. Definitely worth checking out if you even have a passing interest (and you do have one because you've read this review up to now).



Pros:
- Decisions DO matter, and are sometimes very subtle. There are often multiple solutions to puzzles. I'm sure I made some choices without even realizing there was other options.
- Point and click gameplay that ties into the above
- Good story with 11 endings that diverts well according to your choices. The ending I got felt very natural I couldn't tell you where the fork in the story happened.
- Good audio design (sound, music); very fitting
- Horror done right; no jumpscares
- Ito is a great character.

Meh:
- Graphics, they are passable but nothing amazing.
- Kinda short? There are lots of endings yes but I feel that perhaps a few less endings but longer plot would've been better

Con:
- Lacking technically; resolution options missing, no controller support, full motion video cutscenes are very compressed.
