Unfortunately my earlier review didn't age well.
I originally wrote this when they split from their publisher by making a SWAT level in a school.
Sadly now they've backpaddled on all of that and started censoring their game to appeal to the console players more.
Disgusting

The whole niche and art in this game was in the sheer shock factor and the hyperrealiistic nature of it. This has been ruined by the latest patch.

Another publisher that just keeps pushing out games in this genre that aren't it.
Also 78 ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ dollars for DLC. Who the ♥♥♥♥ do they think they are

The developers finally decided that Gold edition owners also own this as a complete pack, instead of gifting them the 3 seperate DLC's. That is a good thing.
Another good thing is that some compensation items were made availible for gold owners/this dlc.

The heist itself isn't that much to write home about, and still on the expensive side.

There seems to be somewhat of a redemption arc, but sadly not yet. Until more improvements are made, cannot recommend.

Careless money grab from game developers who seemingly dont care.
They removed features from the previous game which was better
Just for it to have the same bugs and even more.
The ranked/competitive scene is full of cheaters, and they don't do anything about it. Even the cash tournaments have cheaters.
Buying a premium edition doesn't give you all cars, you have to pay 5 euros for 4 cars that arent as good as acc

Game looks pretty.

THE FINALS is a unique take on your average shooter.
It has destruction physics like Teardown / R6s / Battlefield
It has the 3 player team structure like apex legends / other BR's
And it has different game modes that force you to defend / attack a site within the same round.
This dynamic makes the FINALS an exceptional outstanding shooter, worth your time.
And while there is an in-game currency, this is purely for cosmetics and does not give an advantage.

Better performance then Cities Skylines II at launch so they got that going
