The game is very similar to the first one. If you liked the first one then go for it. I have to say it's not quite as good. The plot in particular meanders quite a bit, outside of the opening set piece I never felt much drive to get anywhere or do anything. There's so much filler. The gameplay remains as strong as before and there's more variety in lightsaber stances now. The characters are excellent as is the voice acting, it's just a shame the plot can't keep up with everything else.
The technical issues that plagued the game on launch are also mostly resolved now which is great. The only issue I had was ray tracing so I had to turn that off.

Have you never played Resident Evil 4 before? Then yes I recommend it. It's a great game. But, this review is for people who have played it before. I played RE4 on the Gamecube and bought it again for the expanded features of the PS2 version. I've beaten it on every difficulty and unlocked everything there is to see. So, the problem is playing this new remake isn't different enough from those versions. I just feel like I've seen and played this all before. There are changes, but they're so minor that I find myself bored, as if I'm just replaying a game that's 2 decades old instead of something new.
I didn't feel this way when I played the recent RE2 and RE3 remakes because they were very different. They were tank controlled classic games and so putting them in third person behind the shoulder really made a big difference. But RE4 was always behind the shoulder and so this version just doesn't breath as much new life into the game as I need to play through it yet again.

Story is pretty good. Presentation is good. The game play however is not. You move left to right which would be fine but then you also get some first person puzzles and some puzzles where you have to toggle various switches through a camera. No thanks, I've played more than enough games that gave me sliding puzzle games.

UFO 50 is the perfect example of what retro games were. The problem is, while playing it I realized something. I'm glad that we don't make games like this anymore. They're ugly, the music isn't great, they're obtuse and overly difficult. While I respect the craft that went into them and this is a lot of bang for your buck, I just can't find the fun.

Do you like stories that aren't just about snowmen but are about kindness and caring? Then this game is for you. If you are looking for something with a bit more grit in a modern world that has some more immediate issues, then I'd give this a pass.

I’ve never played Pathfinder, the tabletop roleplaying setting, but I heard it’s very much like the 3.5 Edition of Dungeons and Dragons. This game is a roleplaying game based on a real Pathfinder module and uses all the Pathfinder rules. One of the main problems with D&D and its ilk is that at higher levels, there’s too much to remember and too many numbers to crunch, so that it gets in the way of having fun. Having a computer game take care of all the complicated parts while still allowing you the freedom of building a character that uses a bunch of different classes, synergies, and magical weapons is just great. The plot is also amazing. It really ramps up. It is about demons that invade a city and after you repel their attack, the Queen sends you on an adventure to go out and take territory back from the demons. The best part is that your power level escalates way beyond a normal game. You can become an angel, transform into a dragon, or even become one of the demons yourself. My choice was to become a Lich, a powerful undead sorcerer. Not only are the mechanics around these ultimate classes really flashy and satisfying, but there is specific plot and quests based around your choice, giving the game incredible replay value.

Really interesting story. The voice acting is also excellent. The scenery is beautiful and the 60s retro future asthetic is spot on. It's not 100% bug free, there is a little bit of frame dropping and pop ins of texture, I also soft locked once by walking away from something in the middle of a conversation. But, if you're looking for an interesting sci-fi story and don't mind that there's not much to do but walk and flip switches then give this one a try.

I don't think it does anything better than Peggle. That concept just doesn't translate to the rouge-like structure that this game has. It doesn't have visceral enjoyment of Peggle because you never really clear the board you just want to hit as many pegs as you can over and over, resetting them as necessary. The various different balls are not as good as the one theme that each master would have in Peggle. I also didn't love the graphical style. I like pixel art fine but this one just seemed a bit muddy and hard to read at times.

A pretty solid rogue-like deck builder. The personalities of the characters are funny and charming. The different decks and combining any three of them are interesting. It is pretty hard so you do need to get a good deck built or you're not going to make it through a run. The big drawback for me is that it doesn't look like there's any benefits if you lose a run, only if you succeed, which can make more than an hour a waste of time if you fail at the last boss. If you like rogue-like deck builders then there's no reason you wouldn't like this one.

A solid visual novel. The art style for the character models is nice and the idea of giving NPCs tiny old fashioned portraits is a smart idea to save on budget while still giving them something to represent themselves with. The backgrounds are all black and white static images that also look like they might be photos, while servicable they aren't all that impressive. The jazzy music that occasionally plays is nice, especially in the opening and closing credits (which is also where the only real animation occurs). For the plot, it's quite engaging, a real coming of age story for the protagonist with a nice selection of bachelors. It can be sweet or dark depending on your choices so it has tone to suit anyone's tastes. It doesn't do anything new with the gameplay format of a visual novel, it only has a half dozen choices so you'll spend 99% of the time just reading. But if you're okay with a solid story and dating some hunky men in a somewhat underused timeframe then this is the one for you.
