I played through DOOM Eternal on Nightmare and did the same with this DLC. The expansion starts off strong with gorgeous vistas and challenging scenarios although the Crucible is sorely missed. However, the latter two levels are a big step down from the rest of the game. The new enemies introduced are all entirely unfun to deal with, and I say this as someone who is 100% okay with Marauders existing. Every time a Spirit showed up I mentally checked out as they have literally no weaknesses, and the Blood Maykrs are far too strong for enemies you may only be able to damage once every 30 seconds. Turrets weren't the worst but I didn't like them either. The Slayer Gates were surprisingly okay although there's no point to do more than one rewards-wise. The story somehow feels like way too much and not enough at the same time.

At the heart of it all, it's still DOOM Eternal, meant to make you feel like a total badass when you win, and ultimately I did win so I guess that makes me a total badass. I'd give it a 3/5, if you loved the original game and want more of a challenge, you'll probably have fun with this. If you hate Marauders, this may not be the DLC for you.
