This is a skill-based career. The engineer is fragile but can slap in the right hands. If playing Sister of the Thorn is driving automatic, playing engineer is like driving manual. The weapons you get with this DLC--Coghammer and Masterwork Pistol--are very fun for other Bardin careers. I give it a thumbs up.

AUDACITY OF AGILGAR!!! HEART BODY AND SOUL!!! Press F, delete bosses. Hide in a corner and cry when ranged specs appear. Thumbs up.

More maps, and a mixed bag of weapons. The Sword & Mace for Kruber, Axe & Falchion for Saltzpyre, and Dual Hammers for Bardin are easily top-tier weapons. Crowbill for Sienna and Elven hatchet for Kerillian are... not as good. Still, 100% wish list worthy.

This was a courageous move for Fat Shark because I think it face-planted while paving the road for the near apologetic free Chaos Wastes expansion. The new Cataclysm difficulty is very fun for players looking for an extra challenge.

However, don't expect any rewards since you will be getting the downgraded Legend-tier loot--books are usually skipped in Cataclysm. You probably don't really care about the loot by the time you want to tackle Cata, but it would be nice to round out my reds.

You also get a whole new game mode called Weaves where you partake on shorter maps with difficulty modifiers such as limited vision, enemies spawn damaging elements, etc. I believe it's regarded as an abomination since it is a parallel universe where your progress does not transfer, and some of these mechanics are mind-blowingly short-sighted. You will likely solo most weaves since there aren't many people who enjoy this mode, but when some maps require you to have a ranged attack but you are playing grail knight, it becomes really frustrating. The rewards in this mode are also infuriating since you will get the lowest tier box for the rank you completed. So, for someone like me who exclusively plays Legend-Cata difficulty in the base game, having to restart at recruit and getting the lowest tier recruit boxes is not ideal.

Overall, I enjoy Cata difficulty and the weapons so I think it's only worth a wish list if you enjoy the base game and have already bought a few DLCs that you liked.

It's like Left 4 Dead where guns are swords and zombies are rat-men. But Vermintide 2 is so much better than just L4D with swords and rats.

I never knew how good it feels to decapitate a virtual rat-man with a pickaxe until I played this game. The melee combat is flawless and you can really feel like you are in full control of your weapons; and there are a lot of great weapons. Spear, sword and board, great hammer, dual wield axe & falchion, flaming flail, bow, crossbow, pistol, portable explosives cannon, the list goes on. Some of the best weapons are unlockable via DLC which can also unlock more maps, skins, achievements, etc. I thought 90% of them were worth it.

In terms of progression, there is always something to look forward to even if that thing might be a hat that you may never wear. At least it's there and gives players a reason to play after having unlocked all gameplay possibilities.

The final point I want to make is how amazing the voice acting is in this game. It is so so soo much chef's kiss. It adds so much more depth to what is already a great experience.

If you like first person coop games, this is a no-brainer! 100% recommend.
