I loved this game and have been playing it again, this time in Czech, because it motivated me to pick up this beautiful language and learn more about its rich history. I am DEEPLY saddened and disappointed at Warhorse's betrayal of its culture by firing its translator and replacing him with AI for the sake of corporate profits. Vávra will praise generative AI, then do ♥♥♥♥ like this, and then go on retarded rants about how the wokes are destroying western civilisation.

♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥, the translators of these games are who allowed millions of people to learn and appreciate the cultural heritage of your, let's be honest, relatively obscure nation in the grand scheme of world history. They didn't just translate Czech into English; they took your language and made it accessible to people who do not speak it. It doesn't feel like I'm playing a game in English, it feels like I'm playing a game in Czech without having to understand the language. AI is inherently incapable of this. It doesn't understand national pride, patriotism or the nuances and unique flavours that transcend language barriers. It doesn't ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ understand anything, because it's not human. Are you sure you still are, Daniel? Or did you sell off your humanity along with your patriotism?

Unless Warhose realise their mistake, recind it and publicly apologise, I will never again buy another one of their games and will discourage everyone I know from doing so. ♥♥♥♥ you.

Another Crab's Treasure is a game that baits you with its cute graphics, adorable world design with funny references and puns galore. Shortly afterwards, it becomes apparent that there's a clear message here about climate change and the forces that drive it. It's so on the nose that by the time you're hooked on the fun gameplay you don't really stop to consider it. You get what the game is trying to say and it starts to flow over you.

However, by the time you reach one of the last areas of the game, a major plot twist is revealed. For me, this is where I realised that the devs have done something ingenious. They've been spoonfeeding these little tidbits of commentary in a digestible form and then at the end it asks you what you've learnt - and there's so much to take away.

It's shockingly impressive how the writers have managed to seamlessly transition the story from "they took muh shell away" to making you consider how one can live a normal life with a looming threat of apocalypse.

The whole idea of it is very promising, but for me it gets very tedious very quickly. The entire process of making the potions can be summed up in three steps: crush ingredient, add ingredient, stir pot. Rinse and repeat. For some potions, you repeat that process upwards of 10 times. The stirring mechanic drives me ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ insane, it's very easy to overshoot. Like, I get that it's supposed to be hard, but instead it just feels downright janky.

Of course, I know it's in early access, so take what I just said with a grain of salt. It's not a bad game, it's just not for me in its current state. I hope my mind changes in the future!
