Very enjoyable, just manage your expectations. The weird hate campaign surrounding this game has no ground to walk on, none of the things I keep hearing are every shoved down your throat in-game at all. The world is interesting, the story is captivating, there is sadly a lack of real side quest-lines, making this feel like a much smaller game, if you expect to sink 1000 hours in this, this might let you down. NPCs are not extremely immersive, and are generally unreactive to anything you do, including attacking them. This game is a lot of fun it just feels like it's missing some very obvious features that all of it's competitors have. If this game was twenty bucks I'd say it is perfect for the price, but at seventy dollars, I'm paying AAA money and barely feel like it was a true AAA experience. That being said, I'm not necessarily mad about it, I just had very high expectations for the best RPG developers in the industry, and they delivered on most of what I imagined and wanted, but not everything. Bugs are few and far between, stuttering is minimal, I got through the entire game with one combat bug that was not game breaking, just immersion breaking, and maybe three times that the frame rate drop noticeably during the game, it is polished and refined far above what I am used to, Lore is there for those who want to dive into it, and all in all I would recommend this game to people looking to scratch some sort of an action-RPG itch. Solid 8/10 even with the flaws I mentioned.

Aged poorly, Controls are bad, input glyphs display wrong on XB/S controller, aiming mechanics are outlandish. Graphics held up decently, I've got a lot of nostalgia for this game and don't regret jumping back into it after all this time, if it's on discount or you are here for the nostalgia, this is your game.
Surprisingly, multiplayer is still kicking along, as of 17 Feb 2025 there were I believe 6 servers still functioning, with one of those servers having 6 players on it.

BF1 hasn't aged as well as I had hoped, some weird bugs still persist, but overall still very fun, not exactly as great as I remembered it being having barely touched it since BFV came out, but nonetheless if it's on sale it's good to kill some time.

Still a great game, aged well. While 2042 had some mechanics that played better, BFV is still the best in recent memory.

I can't really tell if it actually got better or if I just missed battlefield enough to enjoy it, but it's playable, fun for the most part, runs well, although it isn't quite BFBC2, it scratches the itch and still has a large player base, servers are stable, and you can have a couple hours of fun every now and again. I played it at launch and quickly left and didn't touch it again for a while, while the hate was well-placed, it feels like the game has been improved a lot, not to say botched releases should be overlooked, but it's constantly on sale and as long as you aren't paying full price, it's not a bad time at all.

Looking forward to the full release. Pretty fun!

Great storytelling, compelling story, memorable characters with a lot of background and character development. The Michonne season is a nice add-on too.

Every issue the game had at launch has been fixed. I thought it was a fun yet underwhelming experience at launch, but now it feels like a full game, it is very easy to sink dozens of hours in it without knowing, this is the 4th time I've bought this game on a different console. It has grown to be one of my favorites.

I remember playing this for free in my browser many years ago, it is just as fun as I remember from back then. I'd recommend it to anyone who wants a nice relaxing casual experience in a game about making games.
