Played the demo a bunch, full release is just as good.
Only big criticism would be that some modifiers are utterly useless until another gift/modifier is received (like the rare modifier that buffs emeralds, where I then proceed to not find an emerald upgrade/gift over the rest of the run). I feel like it would make more sense to at least include a way to get at least some emeralds and alike from the modifiers that buff them (like how RoR2 gives a small amount of crit chance for crit proc dependent items such that they aren't useless without items that actually give the crit chance). IMO every upgrade should bring at least something on its own, and the synergies should be bonuses upon that. I'm not a game designer though so take all of this with approximately 47 grams of salt.

better than undertale? possibly, very likely to be true upon full release.

Input latency is insanely bad by default as an attempt to fix latency issues, almost every time you get hit it never feels like your fault.

They pretty much fixed all the major bugs and balance issues DLC2 introduced, game is back to being absolute peak.

Old Review:
One of the greatest rogue likes of all time, but the latest update (thanks gearbox!!!) added insane amounts of bugs, and many of the game's systems are now tied to frame rate. Do not purchase unless you're willing to down patch the game.

Extremely good map and music design, some of the the best in the franchise, astounding work.

However, this update introduced insane amounts of bugs and changed allot of the game's systems to be frame rate based which messed with a bunch of stuff. Also allot of the new items bloat the item pool even more than SotV did (at least that update had a few actual stat ups). Also warbonds is an insult of a red item.

If gearbox fixes these bugs (that shouldn't even be present in the first place) i would probably recommend it.

Edit: Not sure why my hours display as zero, I may have been offline but i have completed the majority of the content in the DLC.

Quite similar to Terraria, but in a way that builds upon the formula, rather than just copying it.
Committing the time to using npcs to automate resources lets you spend way more time doing the fun stuff (exploring, building etc).
Also, the new graphics update is incredibly good. Definitely worth my time and money.

A terribly optimised advertisement for the 4090s, runs at seconds per frame on a minimum specs GPU (6600xt).
