After completing the game with all stars + no explosion badge in all levels, I can say that I enjoyed the game quite a lot and would recommend it to people that fancy puzzle+management games and/or trains. The soundtrack is great and the overall gameplay is very fun. However, there are a few caveats, in the form of bugs and lack of QoL.

Critical bugs:
- After the last patch, when I click to go to the previous/next chapter it always goes all the way, meaning I can only select the first and last chapter. Thankfully when this bug started I was done with all the chapters except the last so it didn't stop me from progressing. However, this is an insane oversight and game breaking bug for pretty much everyone else.
- The most frustrating bug of all: sometimes bridges become tunnels completely all of nothing. Picture the following situation: you build some tracks with some bridges and a few trains have used that exact path. All of a sudden a train blows up in that path and you are trying to figure out wtf happened. No other train to collide with, you weren't editing that path, wtf happened? Then you see that your bridge became an empty tunnel (only the openings but no tracks inside, extremely weird). Very frustrating because now you have to redo the whole level if you are going for no explosion badge.

Critical lack of QoL:
- There are a few points that could improve, but the worst one in my opinion is how the arrows that control where the track goes can be obscured by mountains, scenario, even smoke from a building. WHY? More than half of the gameplay is changing the track's direction, and you can have situations where 90% of the arrow is obscured and you have to pause the game and zoom in all the way to try and identify where it's pointing. There is no reason for anything to be rendered on top of the arrows (with the obvious exception of UI and maybe the trains).

Conclusion:
I know that most of the review was pointing out the negative parts of the game, but know that this is still a thumbs up. It is a good game and I'm just trying to give some feedback to the devs so they can improve what is already a fun game. It needs some polish to become an amazing game, but right now it is already a great game.

One of the best RPGs of all time. If not the best.

However, just play the NDS version because it is superior to this one in every aspect.

If this is your first time playing: when you get to a place called "Lost Sanctum" and a NPC asks you for help, say "no". Don't worry, it is completely irrelevant to the sorry and it is by far the most boring piece of content in the game.

Early Access Review
If you like city building games, or just management games in general, this game is a must. Don't be scared by the Early Access tag. I'm 100+ hours in and there is still a lot to do. The developers are very active and transparent, so don't worry about your money.

The game is good and if you like 4x games, I'm pretty sure you will like this one too. 95% of the negative reviews are people either complaining that the game doesn't open or that the game is a copy of Civ.

"Copy of Civilization": I find it hard to believe that people that say that have ever played Civilization before. I have +1000 hours on Civ5+Civ6 and I can guarantee you that this game is not at all a clone. The city planning/management is absolutely different from Civ5 and Civ6; the combat works completely differently; the culture/politics system is completely different; diplomacy is similar to Civ as it is similar to any other 4x game, but it also has some very interesing mechanics that I've never seen in any other 4x games before. Indeed it's a hex-grid map, turn-based game but that is not even close to enough to call this game a clone of Civilization.

Crashes: I have played every single game from AMPLITUDE Studios and I'm sure that they will soon enough fix these crashes/launch problems. I personally have not experienced bugs orcrashes. At the end of the day you can just refund if you game doesn't launch and wait for an update.

I understand that some people expected more from THE LAST dlc of this amazing game that is Frostpunk, but i definitely disagree that this is a bad dlc and was surprised by only 39% positive review (from 710 users at the moment). And i'm going to by honest, i wasn't ultra hyped, i didn't even know that this was going to be the last dlc. I saw the launch announcement and installed the game again (i bought the season pass) to play it.

And from this perspective, i enjoyed the hell out of this dlc. It was really fun and i think its worth buying with season pass. (the dlc alone i dont know, its a bit expensive for the amount of content)

It's absurd the amount of content this game has, and I'm not talking only about replayability, I'm talking about pure content (areas, monsters, equipments and so on). Also both the soundtrack and combat are amazing (if u like turn-based combat, of couse).

Early Access Review
Beautiful graphics and very interesting combat. People complain that the game is short, but if u aren't an analphabet, you can read: Early Access Game
Get instant access and start playing; get involved with this game as it develops.
Note: This Early Access game is not complete and may or may not change further. If you are not excited to play this game in its current state, then you should wait to see if the game progresses further in development
