thank you for making a game that felt like walking around in a emo boy sims 2 amv from 2006

the art is pretty nice, the environment was well done. the lines, puzzle & poem texts, & "flavor text" you read in game were REALLY good. some parts hurt & hit too close to home after losing a loved one very recently. but the story didn't keep that same momentum. i see there's multiple endings, & mine was pretty .. confusing & fell pretty flat. maybe i'll look up the others or replay.

i had some weird bugs in the game, i couldn't figure out where an item went, & tried it in a few places. one place didn't give me any text saying "i can't use this here" so i thought maybe i bugged the item? i had to look it up (& saw a spoiler about multiple endings :c) & it was the completely wrong area. just tiny bugs, which i won't hold against them as this is a smaller team game. still irked me a little when the area this item went was so huge i had to walk around sooo long to finally get it. i also had a bug where a key duplicated so the room kept showing that it wasn't cleared. & i got a "0 deaths" achievement, despite dying a few times, lol

i do wish you could toggle between the two types of aiming modes, because some bosses were better with "modern" & some with "tank." i just ended up doing it in the menu, though. the tank controls were really good in this!

the final area was my favorite, i really liked piecing together all the puzzles & find new items. all in all, a pretty good game that made me think about life & death. really nice to read but a slightly-good "meh" to play. that slide puzzle beat my ass tho.

that was absolutely captivating. the world building was amazing & i got sad when i got the "all notes" achievement because i wanted to read more ♥

my review for this game is too long for steam but can i just say, there needs to be an FOV slider and camera shake disabler. my first playthrough was gutted because i got so motion sick.
