Absolutely, positively, unquestionably the best VR game I've touched so far. Physics, amazing, gunplay, amazing, melee combat, mostly amazing (clipping issues in extreme close quarters), graphics, amazing, performance, amazing. An absolute must have.

The game is an alright spiritual successor to the X-Wing series, albiet without as many ships to fly that I'm aware of, though more or less the same gameplay depth with modern touches that really make it easier to manage. That being said, it's an alright experience on its own, with my biggest gripe being that it takes an excruciating amount of time to load to menu, but it does become a breathtaking experience in VR, one that consistently leaves me giddy and feeling like a kid again.

VR still uses kb/m, controller, or flight stick, so you don't need VR controllers to play it, which is handy for those of you playing on headsets like Oculus Go, which aren't meant to be used for PCVR but can be via ALVR.

Performance is stupid good on my 1700/1080 setup, often sitting at 160FPS and not-uncommonly reaching 200.

Game itself is great so far, but when even basic graphics options, stuff that's been part a standard to have, and have working since DX9, are broken, it's hard to recommend. I'm sure Guerilla is working on it, but when, right in their trailer, they say HEY WE GOT GOODER GRAPHICS IN THIS VERSION, and all texture filtering is broken, it stutters and crashes on powerful builds, and textures flat-out disappear? No, this is broken. This should've been delayed, and I would've refunded, at least until it's fixed, if I hadn't purchased my key off of GMG.

Edit: we're on update 4 and texture filtering is still broken, many people still experiencing crashes. While Guerilla does appear to be addressing some problems, it's unacceptable that so some things such as hair physics are broken by something as simple as *having a frame rate higher than 30*. While it is cool that many crashes have been patched, the fact remains that this should've never been released in this state to begin with.

An absolutely beautiful game that tells a story through the environment and flashbacks using "chirps" instead of dialogue. Highly recommend, only complaint is that you can't choose to have a friend play with you. Be aware the game is only about 2 hours long (I finished in 1.8), but it is well worth your time.

This game took approximately an hour to complete. And It was an amazing hour well worth experiencing. Cannot recommend enough, similar to games like VA-11 Hall-A and Brothers: A Tale of Two Sons in terms of being focused on characters and telling a story focusing on a small few instead of a broad cast.

An absolutely beautiful tale of a sister doing her best to save her brother in a world overrun by rats.

21 hours. 21 hours is how long it took me to finish this game and I enjoyed every second of it.
First and foremost, this game is a soulslike, but if you don't enjoy those don't run away, because I don't either. The game has 4 difficulty options, I finished the game on the 2nd hardest, Jedi Master (hardest being Jedi Grandmaster). The game is very forgiving with ample "bonfires" (meditation areas), fairly easy combat compared to other soulslikes (except on Grandmaster where damage is doubled from the Master difficulty with an extremely small parry window and highly aggressive enemies), and a very forgiving intro with appropriate tutorials, with more coming as you unlock new abilities.

I don't want to get too far into the story to avoid spoilers, but suffice to say it is a significant improvement over most Disney offerings. The Atmosphere and storytelling are top-tier for the genre with an immersive Star Wars feel and a tight focus on story unrivaled in the soulslike genre.

The performance on my rig was generally good with a few framedrops in certain specific areas, which I hope gets fixed, but overall not too bad. I only encountered one bug where my character began clipping through the floor without falling through while opening a chest on Dathomir.

Overall this game is a very strong 10 for me. I had faith in Respawn to make a decent game after falling in love with Titanfall 2, but I'm thrilled that this is one of the best Star Wars games this decade and I look forward to seeing what else they might release both in the Star Wars universe, and out.

Early Access Review
RWS are great developers and I realize this game is listed as Early Access and is made very apparent that it is in an alpha state. I want to make clear that I do not have anything against this game but in its current state, it has one day, a couple weapons, and a very barebones overworld. I have full faith that the guys at RWS will turn this into a masterpiece of a game and I will gladly recommend it when they do. However in this state, I wouldn't "recommend" that someone buy it, because right now there really isn't anything worth recommending. That being said, if you want to experience this game's development and submit feedback to RWS as they make new content, by all means get it. If you want to play Postal 4 because you loved Postal 2, wait on it.
