TL;DR: Absolutely loved this game.
As another reviewer stated - this is kinda-sorta Mount and Blade in space. If you're like me, I absolutely loved M&B. I also loved the Homeworld series, which SGW also very much reminds me of.

Don't mind reviewers who only played the game for 5 minutes then wrote a negative review - the game opens up after about 30 minutes to an hour. You go from a "contained tutorial" where the game teaches you the basics while giving you missions. It isn't until after a significant event the game really unleashes what's available to you. Believe me when I say the game really unleashes on you - it's almost a whole new game. Without spoiling anything, you go from getting assistance from allied ships in the tutorial part of the game, to commanding those allied ships (that you've specifically built and assigned to fleets) to either carry out your orders and/or follow you across the space plane.

I'm not big on the Pros/Cons type listing, but I'll spout some stuff off: the controls in the beginning can be really annoying, especially if you've played other M+KB vessel games like War Thunder, but you'll either get used to it or be smart and change the controls yourself. The atmospheric graphics are incredible and immersive, but the craft themselves can be a little lacking. The GUI and some other aspects scream "Indie," but you know what? Those have been my favorite games.

It's OK that this game doesn't have AAA aspects, because 1) it isn't priced at AAA prices, 2) Indie games have their own charm (this gem is full of it), and 3) Dev support - just take a look on the steam forums for this game and you'll see the Devs responding and contributing to tons of converstations. That's a fantastic aspect!

I absolutely love this game and I just started playing. I love this game so much, that out of hundreds of games in my steam profile - this is the first I felt obligated to review.
