Really beautiful game, it doesn't try too hard to be deep but instead lets you draw your own meaning from the experience.

It's pure platforming goodness wrapped up in a nice simple package with kickass music. Great stuff.

Regularly finishing all the levels is pretty easily doable, but finishing all the challenges is very difficult, so you can choose your difficulty just by choosing how you play.

A fun, charming romp through a bright, cheerful world with all your space pals!

Wonder Wickets does a lot of things right, like expanding on the golf-game genre in unique ways. Being able to nudge the ball while it's travelling makes those tricky, close shots a lot less aggravating and a lot more about finesse. You can even change the amount of friction and speed the ball has, letting you try out some interesting shots and interactions with the different terrain types.

The art and sound and atmosphere is absolutely mesmerizing! All of the characters are cute, cuddly, and positively oozing with personality. There are tons of little, flavor-filled animations and effects that contribute a lot to world-building. The atmosphere is relaxed and happy-go-lucky. No drama or dark twists here, everyone is just out to have a good time.
The music is fantastic, all the tracks are bubbly and upbeat, featuring subtracks that get layered on top depending on what's happening in the game.

The level editor, good online play, and goodies subsections are just the cherries on top, adding plenty of stuff to do on the side and contributing to the game's content-rich feel.

I have experienced some rather heavy framerate issues on a couple levels, especially dark levels that have lots of dynamic lights, and the menu UI can be a little bit clunky in places, but overall the gamefeel is very good. Just whacking the ball around a level feels fun to do.

It's zany, hectic, and a great way to make friends hate each other.

It's hard to see through the blood pouring out of my eyes but from what I can tell everything is fine and everyone is happy.

To start, the aesthetic of the game is astounding, with lush backdrops teeming with life, energy, and color, serene ambient music, and thoughtfully designed creatures that feel like a real product of the environments they inhabit, rather than tacked-on.

Second, this game is everything you want from a Metroidvania-style game. There is a real sense of progression and empowerment as you gain each new movement option. It starts with your expected basics such as wall jumps and double jumps, but soon introduces creative abilities and advanced techniques to utilize those abilities in different ways. And of course the world is littered with secrets.

If you're a fan of brilliantly designed exploring platformer games, look no further.

Beautifully surreal and hilariously ludicrous. This game has some of the most brilliantly developed characters and whimsical story arcs. The ending is a little overdrawn and tries to shoehorn in an emotional last character, but the game makes up for it with mountains of lovingly written flavor text and creative monster designs.

Incredibly immersive and fantastically absurd, this is a wonderfully written and diverse piece of interactive literature.

Your life can range from a heroic explorer of the world who serves London and civilization while writing romantic novels about your adventures in your free time.

Or you can be a swashbuckling wealthmonger who who enslaves guinea pigs for fun and manically cackles over the piles of money stained with the blood of whoever.

OR you can become a holy vessel of the divine forces that be and drive a bloody crusade through the world, while making sure to get back to Volcano Island in time to have tea and a lovely chat with Grandma Satan.

Overall goals vary wildly. The game gives you a selection of vague criteria to end it but the best idea is to set your own personal goals. Build your own character and instead of min maxing, think to yourself "Would my character sell a crewmate and dear friend to cannibals just to churn out a profit? Absolutely!"

Overall it's an enriching and captivating experience for those who like to read and forge their own story.

Early Access Review
This is a story about throwing redshirts into a dungeon until a couple come crawling out, barely alive with a whole bunch of loot and PTSD, only to be boozed up and thrown back in.

Highly recommended.

A nice game with a pleasant aesthetic aside from its inconvenient affinity for the color black.

The darkness in this game is not a matter of "so dark it sends mixed messages with its ambience," it's a matter of "so dark that I literally cannot see the things that I must interact with to progress." Twice I sat stuck for a few moments assuming that I had not completed a puzzle, only to find out that I had to click a door in front of me that was the same shade of pitch black as everything else in the background.

There's no story other than what you make of it, no motive other progression, and no explanation of how a society of insect hotel managers have acquired humanoid robot chefs. The puzzles are relaxingly simple, and the major flaw of the game can be fixed by jacking up your brightness more than you usually would. It's worth the 10 minutes you'll put aside to play it.
