Extremely unsatisfying, mid game throughout, a disgraceful soulslike with tiresome ungratifying combat mechanics, repeated enemies throughout that do not react well to your attacks, and bosses that end up being push overs or borderline unfair; plus various problems and bugs especially if you run the game above 60 FPS

The game is designed to be played with an AI partner which ends up making it too chill, if you decide to go solo you end up with an unbalanced mess of areas/bosses, the areas being overall uninspired with little incentive to explore carefully, with repeated enemies, swarms of them at time due to the invasion mechanics

Bosses have no middle ground between push overs and borderline unfair, usually spamming AoE moves when played solo, so you end up with an unrewarding and forgettable experience (or rather very memorable due to the overall frustration, especially around the end bosses)

The build variety is OK but towards the end you will be forced to switch due to later bosses having insane elemental resistances and being immune to most status effects

Code Vein also has no Ultrawide support and various problems if you play above 60 FPS (the main problems I experienced were elevators do not function and a certain boss going invisible during it's second phase)

challenging, fun, annoying, good, infuriating, scrumptious. makes you feel like ♥♥♥♥ sometimes, makes you feel like a god sometimes. it'll always keep making you come back for more emotions!
