This was a pretty fun game. Interesting idea, groovy art style, fun characters, yet it was hampered by many issues that contributed to the decision for the studio being dissolved & tripwire pulling the plug. An awful new player experience with outdated tutorials having you go up against those who optimized the fun out of the game led to a shrinking player base. This along with many bugs and a lack of optimization further alienated the already shrinking player base. They did attempt to fix the matchmaking by inserting bots into matches yet to no avail.

It's a shame too, I really liked this game. The music was great and really set the tone. Now it's basically dead in the water.

I've been playing this game since 2012-2013. This game got me through middle school, high school, and college. It's still one of my favorite games but as much as I love this game, I simply cannot forgive valve for what they did in Meet your Match. In an attempt to bridge the massive chasm between vanilla and comp, they completely gutted the ability for the player to curate their own experiences and foster communities. After the 4 years of development, it was not worth the wait. From 2018 onward Valve then neglected tf2, simply letting it rot. With that neglect and with how casual was structured, came the waves of bots. In an attempt to stunt the bots slinging all known slurs in the chat, they not only permanently muted free-to-play accounts but also barred them from using voice commands. The bots simply sidestepped this and used upgraded accounts. Even though this was fixed recently, it should be noted how long it took to unmute them. Not only did f2p's get shafted but valve also greatly profited from this. It was almost 8 years of raw hell, and it took one contractor to get pissed while trying to play tf2 and fix it. All this conveniently happened for publicity in regards to their shiny new toy, Deadlock.
