Having played this game a fair bit, mostly on Xbox due to my crappy PC, I can honestly say that I love it. It's not exactly the open-world madness that Morrowind was, nor does it have the amazing story and scaling that Oblivion did, but it's charming and entertaining in its own way.

Skyrim does to the RPG genre, what so many series before it has tried and failed to do: It makes it accessible for everyone. No matter if you're a seasoned gamer, or a complete beginner, you'll find Skyrim is able to cater to YOUR needs. Which is damn impressive.

With the addition of mods through the STEAM Workshop, the game only gets (potentially!) better, with near-unlimited lore friendly mods, that adds anything from new lands to explore, to reskinning the candles in Skyrim to 4k texture. Wonderful!

Although Skyrim does have a lot of flaws (some mentioned below), you're able to forgive the game for this, because it's just really really entertaining.

Final score: 8.5 / 10

Final judgement: Worth the money! Although it's quite a lot...

Pros:
- Fantastic RPG all round
- Soundtrack is gorgeous!
- Easily accessible by all players
- the addition of mods
- Fantastic gameplay

Cons:
- Lacks the freedom of Oblivion
- The guild system is terrible, and lacks content
- The main story is good, but way too short.
- The graphics are outdated, unless you use mods
- Still quite expensive, with all the DLC.
