best video game I have played in a long time. Fun PvE, no fuss about loot boxes or dlc, no identity politics, just straight up multiplayer fun.

Bethesda delivered a video game that is functional and has plenty of story and questing content compared to Fallout 4.

Did they make an immersive world where you can get lost in and feel apart of it like it's a living and breathing world like Bethesda's previous titles? ♥♥♥♥ no. God no. This is the LEAST immersive Bethesda title I have ever played, it feels like just another video game to me and that ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ sucks.

I could forgive every single flaw and complaint about this game if it weren't for the new "gimmick" in the game, New Game Plus which takes everything from you and resets the game in line with the story, but completely removes all meaning from the quests for me, it legitimately made me angry to beat this game. Beating the main story removes all agency and meaning from the rest of the characters in the game, and makes you disassociate heavily if you actually gave a damn about the story.

Throwing the story bit away the NG+ is literally the same thing as No Man Sky's "Reach the center of the galaxy" quite literally the same thing, and sorry not sorry, but I don't have fun exploring a landing zone that has points of interest randomly generated within a gaussian circle, if I wanted to do that I would of programmed/made it myself because ITS ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ EASY TO MAKE THIS GAME, PISS EASY. The Elite series, Freelancer, X series, etc, there are SO many space games that do space better than this, literally the ONLY point to this game is the story and quest content, and they ruined the feeling of "being the dragonborn" in Skyrim in this game even though that's what they were going for because of the NG+ mode.

I don't want to explore the same planets, with the same random dungeons, and the same quests 10+ times over in NG+ Todd, wtf was the point of your story? Why did you think people would want to play this game without any meaning or consequences when exploring is literally pushing stick forward and tapping A over and over and over again to fly over everything? Why the ♥♥♥♥ do I want to play this boring ass game if it isn't for the story? What the ♥♥♥♥ Todd.

Every complaint about this game is valid, No vehicles is ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥, its not optimized at all and I could make a better game in dreams ps4, no seamless transitions is also ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥, they didn't touch the engine at all "CK2" my ass it still runs like an engine from 1990, they haven't changed the rendering engine at all besides to add more stacks of post effect bs to it that has crippled performance for anyone without the brand newest and highest end graphics cards, many of whom still get sub 50 fps in new Atlantis. Why tho? Cyberpunk can play in huge cities just fine, Space Engineers you can build ships as big as new Atlantis, and I can name countless other games that do more, and have more, and don't give me this "consistent world" ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ because 90% of the npcs in this game are randomly generated and do not have routines and are not incorporated into the world which is another Bethesda classic game feature removed, in fact pretty much EVERYTHING that makes Bethesda games fun outside of the questing was removed in favor of making a half baked no mans sky clone, what the ♥♥♥♥, I was one of the people who adamantly said it wasn't a NMS clone and man was I wrong, even if that's not what it is after beating the game the intention is clear that's what they wanted.

TL;DR Okay Video Game, Don't beat the main story, like at all it literally makes the game feel pointless, and wait for mod support to come out because the game is unimmerisve as ♥♥♥♥ at the moment theres no reason to play a game as unengaging as this it's a waste of story/quest content

This game was really fun for the first 10 hours. With the millions of copies of the game being sold and a "rescheduling of updates following the immense support" I don't feel like the game has seen much support at all from devs.

In the time that the game has been released many other early access titles have launched that are worth more of your time. The devs could easily overhaul a system or two here but never do.

This "toolset" is a HUGE mess.
Everything is translated horrendously, there is no documentation besides the bare minimum from the publisher, there is no help on the forums or online, and things you expect to just work just don't.

Want to make a jump animation with a climb, idle, and fall? You have to make 3 different actions with different logic for each action so it properly plays the animation and you dont clip into a wall.

Want to glide like Knuckles in sonic? Oh how tf am I supposed to do this when you cant even set the velocity of an object directly, I can make the gravity lower but oops that makes it when I start gliding I shoot up in the air from my current jump velocity. There's no way from what I can tell to directly change the behavior here. Also the fact there isnt a "any state" option to transition into a state from anywhere in the action map means you either end up with a ♥♥♥♥ load of wires going all over the place or a ton of shortcuts that make it impossible to follow whats happening in your code.

Theres no offset for the camera, so I have to make an entire camera rig and somehow devise a method for it to follow below the character, unless I want to use the unreliable collision editor to make a connection point below the character and somehow get the camera to attach itself properly.

As always RPG devs don't try to innovate with their products, just providing the bare minimum. The fact they are trying to bastardize unity into a gimped editor with no multitasking and singular window focus is insane to me.

Stellaris is pretty amazing. Each new update can either be a minor great change, or at times completely change the game and how it is played. As someone that has been playing 1.0 it feels like there has been multiple games here.

If you had to bring one 4X strat game with you to an island this would be it.
