I've played the heck out of this game. I love open world survival craft games and this definitely scratches that itch. The difficulty ramp is steep trying to figure out how to play, but once you've figured out what works and what doesn't there is zero challenge

My list of gripes:
-Resource gathering is grindy and unrewarding. I spent 10 hours gathering resources to build 10-12 prefabs.
-Building is glitchy and too restrictive. Finding a flat enough area for your group is difficult.
-Consumable resources are not scarce enough. There's almost no incentive to leave your immediate area to find anything. There are a handful of consumables that are way better than all the others. Once you figure out which ones are worth having, the rest are useless.
-Storage is unique but needs improvement. Storage units should be more accessible and able to be placed in more areas
-Combat with bow is uninteresting. Bow is a one-shot head shot to all enemies. With just a little practice there are no encounters that pose any threat.
-Bandages and healing wounds is too easy. Keeping just two types (no spoilers) of bandages can heal any injury.
-Furniture building suffers the same fate as buildings. They take too many resources and are unrewarding.
-The lighting at sunset and sunrise makes it impossible to see anything.

Spoiler here: Bone infusion is too strong and they're too abundant. They provide protein, fat, and removes fever. Ash bandage heals any cut or laceration. Charcoal furnace provides infinite ash. Both tobacco and lily bandage heals poison. As long as you're not sleeping on the floor, you're not getting any other statuses. Bow one shot head shots every enemy in the game. Big cats, Wahara warriors, Caiman. Once you have pottery, water is no longer an issue. There are too many sources of carbs everywhere.

The game is in desperate need of quality of life improvements, a reason to leave your camp, and more engaging combat.

Having said that, it's a fun game but it loses it's luster way too quickly. It's absolutely gorgeous but extremely monotonous. Buy the game, but don't get your hopes up too high.

The game is alright. It has good humor, good music, and good art style. It has all the ingredients of an awesome puzzle game but ends up being a combat driven game. It would've been much more interesting to see more puzzle mechanics come together than an extremely obvious story line leading up to a uninteresting final boss battle. At $15 I can't recommend this to anyone.
