Would I recommend fall out NV?

Yes and No.

Compared to Fallout 3, the narrative of the game really navigates you in a smart and collective experience that drives home revenge, interesting characters and LOL EXPLOSIONS.

Seriously -- the game has been around for 14+ years and always has become a staple play spot every year of the time i've owned it. I started out every playthrough slightly differently based on the first mission, some of the time going in underwhelmed and unfocused, to meticulously narrowing down my individual players to thwart the opening threats. I allowed NPCs to die and rack up some of their unfinished missions while other NPCs i played as a vengeful prick and assassinated some right on the spot with shooty bullet to the face.

You can play the story out in so many different ways that a single playthrough isn't enough. the fun part, is that you can roleplay through the characters that you want in order to finish the game sooner or slower with progression opening up the maps as you go on.

I'd try and play through the vanilla edition as much as possible. no mods, no cheat codes, just your skills and a dry run through the game. The map is huge and outside of a few dead-ends and empty houses, everything seems to have a direction and far off blurry sunspots in the distance can often reveal small settlements with the most impossible to gauge stories and the most interesting single experience characters.

Fallout NV does more organically and pushes the player rather intelligently through the wasteland, offering a number of experiences, places and story plots to keep you entertained. I have 100+ hours in this game, most of it from wandering off into the wasteland and camping. Yep. Camping.

I'd idle in a spot set for firewood and cooking, hunt the surrounding area then sleep. The realism in games isn't always necessary, but it comes down to how you as the player wish to experience the journey for revenge.

Its a great game that all should experience.

Early Access Review
there was a lot.. a LOT of controversy over this game on twitter (not a real place anyway) since rule 34 on two anime style siblings hit the internet worse then the opioid crisis hitting whites in the mid-west and rocky mountains. every single gaming related feed, meme site and chat room had some avatar of one of these two siblings and discord mods and their kittens were given a new couple to RP in their cringe sessions in the quiet depths of sweaty obese mens basements.

I played the game 3 hours, multiple saves, multiple outcomes and dialogue paths. I had received spoilers, but, the hentai that I was spammed seemed to paint the game in the light of being a reckless couple of teenagers (why do you perverts always sexualize relationships of underage folks? I am looking at you MHA fans..) who were, for whatever reason, kept in an apartment throughout the duration of the game while feasting on random folks in their apartment while avoiding the law and covering their tracks.

I had no idea the game would explore outside their apartment after an hour and a half of gameplay.

the coffin of Andy and Leyley is a well written game, putting the incest implications aside, both Andrew (as he prefers to be called) and Ashley paint themselves as protagonist with varying views on their situation. Andrew, born years earlier than Ashley, has a more stoic and often rigid personality hiding the fact that his sister has plagued him with guilt and in large, lacks empathy. Ashley, the bubbly, violent, narcissist, only has eyes for her brother and their survival. While early on, their relationship plays out similar to siblings, the undertone of a frustrating past and death seems to inner twine in their relationship, focusing on why such a young man would put up with the machinations of his violent, dark humored sister.

As they progress, Ashley seems to take on the majority of the talking, pushing the narrative forward with her impulsive and somewhat naive views on their situation. the plot surrounds the siblings in quarantine after an unnamed parasite has plagued their city for an unspecified amount of time. Despite water, rotten vegetables and little else, they are at their breaking point of possibly starving before an unlikely source of nourishment is made available following the summoning of a demon in the apartment adjacent to them.

If you're looking for the incest route -- to be frank, it's easily avoidable. Andy and LeyLey often banter like that one highschool couple, but for the most part, Andrew has a disdain for their actions and tries to convince his sister of their morality, albeit grey on their situations. Player decisions directly affect his dialogue with others throughout the game, so if you're playing with the focus of driving the incest plot line, it's almost definitely a possibility. I opted for different routes and found the incest route storywise to be completely out of left field.

I could buy it if there were more implications during the first episode; however, when a character jumps to the conclusion that Leyley is offering more than a little sibling love, the pieces from earlier episodes seem more implied IF you are thinking of the game in that way.

Hands down, the dialogue is funny, the choices don't tend to matter to further the storyline, if you mess up, chances are there will be a direct consequence or some other means of trying another route until you get it right. (in fact, the game downright scolds you in some points). It's definitely a story driven game, inventory, controls and everything else are simple. the charactisization is pretty solid and chapter 3 should be released some time soon. While I avoid any twitter spats (again, twitter is a cesspool for mentally challenged and deranged individuals to shout into their own little void) the game stands as a decent distraction with a good story and likeable protagonist.

Frustrating, mesmerizing and addictive, duet is a great indie game.

Twist and turn to a surreal soundtrack fitting the atmosphere and the echoed disembodied voice narrating the story. Duet allows for many to infuse their own narrative through the obstacles. Turn left, turn right and avoid a variety of falling blocks, and lines.

5 hours into the game I still cannot get enough. A great experience difficult to master. Great option.

Super Giant games must have an individual who pulls on past experiences and envisions ways to improve.

From the story, to the music, to the action, Transistor is nearly flawless. The sci-fi themed action RPG borrows elements from bastion, streamlines them into an approachable and addicting combat system with exquisite story telling.

A step away from the dwarf approached artwork in bastion, the look and feel of the stunning futuristic city is mind blowing, with several spots and scenes worthy of a wallpaper or piece of art.

Controlling "Red", most of the narrative comes from a unusual powerful weapon taking its name from the title of the game. Transistor operates as the main form of attack against a variety of amazing sprite monsters that rarely are duplicated.

Voice activing is quite superb, Logan Cunningham returns from Bastion, lending his deep smooth voice to the narrative while Ashley Lynn Barrett (runner up to Quiet\Stefanie Jootsen impersonator) offers vocals that beautifully reflect the hymn of the city.

Little is wasted and spoiling the ending on wikipedia or walk throughs takes away from the experience. although the fighting can be extremely unforgiving; planning and focus contribute to success in defeating bosses. the rpg elements aside, little interferes with the forward momentum to the story and the game is an acceptable 10+ hours of time before a thrilling conclusion.

Either on sale or full price, collect the soundtrack; I can garuntee at least one tune that will stick with you for awhile.

Left 4 Dead 2 is the survival horror action genre we all want. Instant matches and a long line of custom maps encourage an all infinite amount of replay.

The first person survival horror takes place in a current time. You're equipped with the bare minimum of weaponry against hordes of zombies and special infected. The game relies on team work and coordination, run to far ahead of the group on higher difficulty settings and the director will see too your end with a nigh unsurvivable odds.

The biggest draw for the series is the customization. Yes this is an objective based shooter relying on team atracks, light puzzle solving and staying alive. The community of customized maps and skins add another layer of fun. After the main storyline is complete add map packs and join servers for more fun.

Personally a group of players close to you or locally is best way to play. Finding that niche of online folks is often difficult as most people rush ahead or otherwise screw up the chemistry involved in staying alive. Cobble together a group of close friends, grab some custom maps and enjoy.

Great game, exceeded my expectations and surprisingly great shooter. A step above other third-person military shooters with fast-pace and wonderful graphics. The story remains a strong seller with a great character throughout.

After several years of the early amnesia inspired atmospheric horror game that is penumbra overture, what do I have to say about it? Well, the atmosphere is certainly there.. I think I stand with a lot of folks, when i say -- I haven't played this game until completion. Penumbra Overture was one of those games including in a bundle from the indie promotion site, humble bundle. Included were a number of games that, supported a charity but, largely remained untouched in my library nearly 7 years later.

Penumbra, was an introduction to the atmospheric horror that unnerves me, that crawls under my skin, pulls back layers of security that I find between my monitor and the synthetic world and locks the door. cast with my wits, one of the earliest enemies in the game, a wolf, scared me witless. It's a game, a digital form of entertainment to help me escape my world and spend time in a fantasy. to this day, the dust rattling off from abandoned equipment, the footsteps and old flashlight accompanying me all highlight a simple time when I felt fine with being terrified of the unknown.

penumbra does this as an atmospheric horror game. it unnerves me, it insist that i move forward, armed with a glow stick or a hammer into the next corridor. I hear the growling of the beast, stalking, prodding and ready to attack. I manage to steel myself and advance past the next area into the darkness. I breathe out a sigh of relief.

there are no pop-up achievements, no tutorial messages of note. you're sent in with the raw expectation that you as the character will understand elements based on their design. an intuition if you prefer, but, for the most part, you're trying to understand how to survive while you uncover a mystery the further you go down into that darkness.

this is the earliest glimpses into the amnesia franchise and all of the elements are there, its a good game i'd recommend that I barely scratched the surface on.
