definitely potential, depends on your patience! in agreement with other review(s), the game could stand to be at the "sped up" left-clicking speed by default, and the attrition aspect of the puzzles isn't to my tastes, but it clearly has love put into it and it wears its influences on its sleeve

the negative reviews for beyond light are, realistically spawned from the state of the game itself when the DLC was released. many of the issues people had with the game at the time (loot incentive, lack of story progression, etc.) have been tidied up since, and if you're looking for a review of beyond light itself, read on!

beyond light is a good expansion for destiny: it brings good loot, one of the best raids we've ever had, a solid (if at times lengthy) story and plenty of post-campaign content. stasis is practically a mandatory buy for pvp, and if you're flip-flopping on deciding whether to purchase or not, wait until it's on sale before grabbing as you'll definitely not regret that if you do :)

okay but for real though.
recommending destiny is something quite difficult to do, because there's never really a good time to get into it. the game is constantly riddled with fundamental problems, whether those be with the loot distribution system, the inability to balance PvE and PvP aspects of the game separate to each other, or the sometimes abhorrent focus on microtransactions bleeding the players dry under the illusion of progress.

despite all of that i and many others still play, because the memories you'll make playing destiny can't be made anywhere else. also the guns feel nice
