Coming from Rivals 1, I didn't like the game at first, but it ended up really growing on me. Even if it's not Rivals 1, it feels smoother than Melee and Ultimate. Good game.

Hopefully they will add more content (like tutorials) soon.

Cool game, even if I suck at it. Cool music. Mechanics that are more accesible and fluid than Melee's.

Also workshop which is a big selling point for most players, although I encourage you to check the base game too, and not just the workshop characters. :D

You open the game for 5 minutes and suddenly realize you actually played for 2 hours without noticing.

This game is awesome. I was really into the story and characters. However, I will not say anything about the game itself. You will get the best experience if you play it blind, since it can lose a bit of impact if you already know what happens. Also, do yourself a favor and play it windowed (like the game recommends at the start).

This is the most stupid, dumb, ridiculous, epic and awesome time waster I have seen in a long time. It's really nice. You can literally think "huh, I'll play this for like 5 minutes before playing a different game later", and then spend like 1 hour playing without noticing. It makes you feel powerful, even though you just literally click, and you don't even have to click the enemies. You like just click when they get near you.

It's fun.

(Although you have to grind a bit if you actually want to get all the achievements)

If you have no idea how to compose something in other programs like FL Studio, then this software is a pretty good place to start. You can watch the tutorial videos the creators made themselves to learn how everything works, you'll learn pretty fast. After that, just create whatever you have in mind. You'll get the hang of it easily. You can also share your songs 'n stuff, and give ratings to other people's songs if you want, I guess.

Overall, good software for newbies

Oh wow they literally removed the entire game and made a new one. Well, I'm changing my review to reflect my actual opinion on this new game, compared to the one they made before.

It has similar mechanics, and a lot of improvements, compared to its previous state. The game is still hard, but not to the point where it becomes annoying like before, it is actually fun to keep playing now. The new song they put is far less repetitive and more enjoyable than the previous one, which they used now for the menu screen. You now have more health points, a shield, power-ups (which you can save for later, not like before, where you used them instantly), and you don't have to start from the beginning when you die (you now start on the same level). This last change is REALLY important. This was the aspect that put me off when playing the previous game. Before, you had only 3 hits in the entire game, and if you died on any level, you had to start from the beginning. That was a huge annoyance for those who wanted to get all the achievements for beating the game, so I'm glad they improved on that aspect. Lastly, you control the ship with the mouse now, not with the arrow keys, so it is far easier to dodge projectiles and stuff.

My only real complaints now is that you have to click to shoot, when I prefer to use a key. Also, I prefered the artstyle of the previous game, but whatever.

I'd say this game is worth the money, if you want about an hour of fun.
