Awesome suspenceful gameplay, really addictive and fun. Only issue is the lack of players; often is quite hard to find a match when you select a specific class.

How to The Isle:

1. Spawn as a carnivore (mainly rex this applies for)
2. Slowly make your way down to the twin lakes to drink.
3. Appear non aggressive and calm.
4. You see a barrage of herbivores coming your way.
5. You get brutally slaughtered by 1374732983 herbivores who end up killing each other anyway.
6. Respawn and repeat.

10/10

I love Primal Carnage. I played the original since release when I was 12, and I have loved it ever since. The concept is amazing, who doesn't like being a tyrannosaurus eating humans, and who doesn't like being a commando blowing raptors to bits. Extinction (now having been released for over a year now) has made a slight improvement over the old one. Better graphics, more content, bug fixes etc.

But, it has a long way to go.

The original has imo much better gameplay and actually more balanced teams, as I still play it and often win as humans. (Surprised?) The deathmatch system in the first one is much better, and is overall I'd say funner than the DM in the second one. I also like the fact (even though I am a skin collector) that no-one really cares for skins in the first one. You just load it, select a server and play. No faffing about skins, market or whining that you haven't got a feathered raptor.

That brings me on to the cons of the game. The community is lovely at most, I met some wonderful people on this game who genuinely play for the fun. However, there is that dark corner of the community that beg for skins, riddled with trollers and hackers. I do enjoy the addition of the loot system, though. The skins are remarkable, and do add that creative side to the game, with moddable features on its way. The multiple skins of the game bring pros and cons to the game.

Moving on to another con, the gameplay and the unbalance. The humans have a massive disadvantage to the dinosaurs. The shotgun for the pathfinder is way too weak, the dinosaurs don't take fall damage and the numerous amounts of tyrants each round make it hard to play as the humans. However, when you are winning as the humans, it beats the dinosaurs by a long way.
I also think they nerfed the rex too much. He is literally a walking free kill. His trample does not insta-kill (which I think it should, an 8 tonne animal steps on your head? You are going to die. (Do correct me on my accuracy of weight, too. xD) And if they do buff him back up, I'd also expect to see a similar tyrant limit to the first game. Apart from that problem, I think the dinosaurs are way over-powered and it takes a lot of skill and teamwork to win as a human.

Overall, I enjoy this game on a daily basis, from hanging out with friends to playing deathmatch, I definitely recommend it. But do not expect perfect gameplay, as there are still balance issues and some problems with the game that need addressing.
