And I thought it would be hard to top Portia!

My Time at Portia just ticked all the boxes for me and I couldn't wait to continue the adventure in Sandrock. I even built myself a gaming PC out of old parts (such Telesis!) so that I could enjoy it as my laptop struggled when things in Portia got busy. And I am so glad I went to the effort as I'm finding Sandrock to be an absolute joy!

First of all, I do acknowledge that it is in Early Access, but even so... wow! The developers haven't simply just stuffed the mechanics of Portia into a pretty new suit, but have obviously put a lot of time and thought into taking the franchise forward. Mining, crafting, fishing and farming have all been updated. The graphics are so beautiful that I find myself stopping what I'm doing to watch the sunset from time to time. Alas, there are no llamas (so far) but there is a wide variety of cute and not-so-cute critters to encounter. I think that the penskies are my favourite so far!

A lot of the characters are still being fleshed-out and given their voices, but even so there is much fun to be had in getting to know them better. There is also a fair bit of humour and I've LOL'd a number of times! I'm also really enjoying being able to build my own house.

I can only see this game getting better.
