Really a gem there! Fast paced, adaptive difficulty. Controls are simple, the game not so simple ^^
If I am able to complete, I'll have to do a second run.

Lot of secrets too!

One button game and very arcade! I can see that game being on a huge display in an arcade room! Could also be used for a live performance.

It's only one button, but you've to keep the rhythm while chasing your little cruiser. It's easy to get distracted and being distracted mean losing.

If you like kaleidoscopes and fractals, you'll love this game!

It's not only planar, there are spatial deformation too.

It can also be very addictive, like all good arcade games!

It's a simple tower defence, with comsumables (tiles) and quite some grind. It has various interesting features that you rarely find in other tower defence, beside the iconic "mindustry".

The UI is clearly designed for touch screen.

I baught the game on Tablet/mobile, because it seemed interresting and it is.

Balance-wize, it seems that some towers have an edge, but it may also be the result of my own playstyle.

Now, it's free, so you may only lose a bit of time. One criticism on mobile was that it was too hard, but that's normal. You've a learning curve and the game expect you to lose, upgrade then win. You will frequently visit the same level again and agin depending on your upgrades and which ressources you need. So, that's normal to have a "slow" start.

Unplayable because it's running at almost twice the speed.

Definitely a game that can be used in schools to learn the scientific method.

This game will test your multi tasking skills! For the first two levels, I ignored the ability to pick debris, so I did perfects and poor for debris gathering. When I started picking up debris to be able to make more towers, then all the other 3 ranks became "great". It's a well known phenomenon that you can handle multiple tasks in a quite good way and if only one more task is added, your execution degrades a lot.

Another nice thing is that the game push you out of your comfort zone. You have build a great defense, then the routing is changed, forcing you to reevaluate your strategy and let go what you did.

Also, as it happens on Earth, you have kind of a geography lesson. I am pretty sure that some of it will stick with the player base. It's always nice when some basic knowledge is landing in a game.

The normal difficulty can be a bit challenging if you're not used to the genres (TDD and shmup).

On the upgrade screen, you'll see "required" with a lock. I wondered how I can get the "lock" stuff to unlock those upgrades before realizing that it was the base loadout ^^

In the game, nothing is permanent. You can freely move your towers and change their type. You can freely change your upgrades too. Looks like it make the game easier ? No, it's required! You WILL have to think and adapt.

Small tips (not a spoiler): if you hold CTRL when placing a tower, it will automatically connect to the nearest towers. So you don't have to go into the tower menu to add the fence. Useful while being in combat as you spare a good second.

When Mark Overermans propsed it for 15$ that was insanely good. At that time, there were almost no engine for the layman.
It was limited, but the price point was...on point.

Now, this things cost a leg and obviously, it's much more evolved than the initial GameMaker (hammer in red ball). But at the same time, it's subpar compared to something like Godot. Let's not add Unity and Unreal to the picture.

I even think that Godot is a much better engine to get started, just because it is very easy to understand and the language it uses is also designed around game scripts.

Looks like a toy that didn't aged well.

A good game, sadly there is no key mapping available.

Just kidding, it's a one button game and you can do a LOT with only one button!

Still buggy, even in the intro. A friend asked me if it any good to buy: NO. Better wait until it gets properly ironed.

I started a new game, especially to check if I could pour one hour or two into the game without seeing weird stuff. In the training area, one of the enemy was routinely warp. Fine, it's the tutorial, not very important.

Then when I arrived at the start of chase sequences, "game flat lined'.

So, can't recommend until it gets out of its beta stage.

---- PREVIOUS REVIEW ----

Seems the patch fixed my crashes! Not too far for a proper review.

---- PREVIOUS REVIEW ----
I want to play the game, but I have now entered a crash loop. I can play like 30 minutes in the current mission (escaping the hotel) and then it crashes. Sent the reports and I guess I should not insist anymore and wait for the stable version.

I am thinking they want to send a strong message to the community: BE PATIENT OR BE DELIVERED SH*T.

So, for now, I can't really recommend the game. Though, when it work, it's fine!
