A short but well-designed platformer similar to Dig-Dug and Motherlode. If you have any experience with platformers, you'll have this beat in about five to six hours and with most of the achievements under your belt. Progression is well paced and very designed. You don't NEED any power-up you unlock before you unlock it but there are enough branches off of the main path to encourage going back to the upper levels after you unlocked a shiny new upgrade.

The story is similarly short and straightforward yet I found it compelling enough to hook me in well after the end credits finished rolling. I'll definitely have to look for the sequel.

The too long, didn't read version: This is not a bad game, however it is not a good game either. Even for the price of free, there are just too many flaws to justify investing the time in this game. The writing is bad and not in the funny, campy way either, travel is tedious, and the rest is just "meh."

Overview: A game that represents a good direction in the free to play market. A fun team-based shooter with an overall good community and a number of player-friendly features for getting into the fight and quickly teaming up with friends. Solid performance on mid-range PCs with only some lag issues during the game’s largest battles, fans of team-based shooters should definitely try this game out.

Overview: Not stellar but certainly decent, a fairly fun zombie survival game with a relatively unique gameplay twist despite some outstanding flaws in gameplay balance and diversity (all four characters feel the same,) as well as story (at its best it's good B-movie cheese, at it's worst it limps along without the exposition in the Riptide expansion.) A respectable purchase if you can get it on sale, otherwise just wait until Techland's next entry, Dying Light.

But to summerize, this is more of an "evolution" then a "revolution" sort of sequel. In hindsight, the original was a bit of a glorified tech demo, a bunch of concepts thrown together to form a functional game. Anthony Burch is not quite the writer he is made out to be in the Gearbox promos but the story is solid and at times geniunely entertaining. And of course, the fact that the game improves on pretty much everything that made the original so popular helps too. There is more diversity between guns, shields, and grenade mods then there was previously, all four core characters have tighter skill trees... Basically everything you would have liked about the first game has been upgraded and fine-tuned. One of the few games to defeat the lingering curse that hangs over sci-fi action-RPGs.

Though to summerize: This is a good game. There is a learning curve a cut above what modern gamers may be used to but it's hardly a significant one, especially for gamers that have been playing since the original Diablo. The character development system is fairly deep and fluid, the Free-to-Play cash shop doesn't carry any unbalancing boosts or buffs, and the changes to the traditional formula require players to unlearn a few old habits but are hardly burdensome otherwise. Basically, while not "ZOMG GAME OF THE DECADE," I honestly cannot think of a single reason why I shouldn't recommend this game if you are a fan of ARPGs.

I simply cannot stop playing this game. Last game that made me wonder where the hours went was Minecraft, something I haven't felt in a long time...

Good expansion pack. Decent campaign and an excellent adaptation of an old Dawn of War favorite (the Imperial Guard.) The new units each side gets depends on who you are and whether or not you get excited over super tanks, but overall is pretty good.

The best twenty bucks you'll spend on a game EVER... at least until Killing Floor 2 or L4D3 comes out.
